Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement
OMT said that after it is completed it goes to quality control within EA....when they think it is solid they send it to Sony and Microsoft. After they receive it, they test it.....but if other games have patches there before and they are viewed as more critical, then THEY will get priority. I assume it will be out by the end of this week.
The first patch will only address the roster malfunction and no actual gamplay issues. It will allow multiple team edits without causing your game to freeze. I have no clue if this will, as a side effect, help any other aspects of the game. Such as online dynasty.Last edited by DiddyGotGrillz; 07-21-2008, 01:05 PM.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement
I'm wondering the same thing. I want to start a dynasty, but I'm thinking I should wait for the patch(es) to come out before I start. Any word on a possible gameplay patch?Comment

Why not add a patch to ADD BOWL LOGO PATCHES TO THE DAMN JERSEYS!! I always thought that was such a cool part of the dynasty mode. Also, this game developers never seem to entertain the possibility that there may be one console per household and since me and my bros play dynasty together (there are 3 of us) and the time it takes to recruit/ scout players is rediculous and really turns you off to spending that time. Can we at least have an option to revert back to the old recruiting system (i.e. NCAA playstation 2)? can someone let me know if either of those are possible with a patch and why the hell the first at least doesnt get fixed?Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement
It's been said they don't work at all.. and judging by my own experience - cpu sliders don't work at all. If any of them do, they still need fixing, because I'm not noticing any difference at all in game.Look I know it has been asked a lot, but i have not seen a clear answer yet, maybe no one kows for sure. Do cpu defensive sliders work at all or not. I would like some clarification so, I don't waste anymore time testing them when editing sliders. I have seen people on here who think they work and people who don't think they work. I am starting to enjoy the game a little on heisman. I think with a little tuning this game could be killer.
I would consider this a top issue now that the roster bug is taken care of. I just hope they'll consider it important enough to fix, because to me, it's now the only thing holding the game back. I can handle the other flaws. I just need better game play from the CPU. I also have to find out if this issue is going to be in Madden, because I'm not buying anymore games that have this slider bug. The game is useless to me, if I can't have working CPU sliders.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement
What I would like to see addressed at this point is the DLine pressure, DB AI (especially on comeback routes/button hooks) CPU QB Accuracy (but with better DB AI, perhaps this wouldn't be a problem), Punt/kickoff issues and defensive angles...
Yesterday (After buying a new 360 due to my now 2nd RROD and hearing a 3 week turn around time argh!) I took PSU into the swamp to face Florida and won 44-14...Tebow was picked off 3 times, once very early which may have tanked him a bit, but he's a Heisman winner so I think he should have bounced back. I did sack him 3 times, once off a 4 man rush with an interior lineman. They also tested me deep with Percy Harvin a few times.
Later on I went into Georgia with PSU and at the half was up 28-7. They seemed to run on me better than Florida did, but in both games I thought my Run D was fine. PSU does have a good front 7. I did lose to Miami and USC at home though...
Overall I think if a few things get tweeked the right way, we'll have a fantastic game on our hands...I'd like to get more pressure from the DEs, both CPU and Human. I want to feel some pressure on offense. This is on AA default BTW.
Oh, and I was really REALLY close to dropping 500 for a PS3 after my 360 tanked again, but I didn't want to rebuy NCAA and I figured I could sell a 360 on eBay to recoup most of the cost. Maybe next time Sony, Maybe next time.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement
They absolutely need to fix the sliders and kick off coverage. Like I said before, I think that would solve a lot of our issues.
I wonder how they would do that? How could you fix kick off coverage? Dumb down the return team's ratings?***My Teams***
NCAA - Oklahoma Sooners
MLB - St. Louis Cardinals
NFL - Dallas Cowboys
NBA - Oklahoma City ThunderComment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch Announcement
Kickoff coverage is annoying, but I super sim those, so it's not as bad as the slider issue, IMO. I just hope IF they can't fit in both, they choose the slider bug over something like the kickoff coverage, because it can at least be toned down. I even bought the game knowing about the roster bug, but if I had known the sliders weren't working, I wouldn't have even thought about buying.
Complete game killer for me. I can't get any decent game play.Comment

Hold your horses there pal, I am not saying that bowl patches should take priority over some of the other prevalent issues (rosters, etc) but i am just wondering why they take out those things and leave them out? I was also just curious whether that would be difficult to fix with a patch and whether it would b e time consuming. I have no programming experience and was hoping someone on here would be able to better educate me on that issue. I honestly think that some of those "more important" issues will probably get solved so I am wondering if throwing that in there would be tedious.Comment
