I really cant believe there are people who dont see a problem with a company who makes a game that is flawed year after year. Not even one time since the next generation systems have been out has this company made a game worth the hype. I dont care who you are a fan of 2K, EA it doesn't matter. There are huge flaws in the games, features that are left out, and it keeps happening. For three years there are countless message boards and threads wth tons of information on what people want in a game but every year all I hear is excuses and reasons why EA can add stupid features and things that dont work. E....A.....SPORTS....if its in the game, we leave it out of the game.

Thank you for your money, oh and don't forget to come back next year and we will sell you another broken item. What? You dont like that, oh we are sorry but we are the only company who has the license to produce that product. Have a nice day, don't forget we have a couple guys on message boards who will answer questions for you.

It is definatly pretty hard to agree with this topic. Stepping up to the plate? Don't put the game for sale if your not going to make it right. What i'm not understanding is what about the guys that don't have online play? There big time screwed.

2K games has been posting on the boards for years, but I have never EVER seen them get the full treatment EA has gotten these past few months.

It's been a constant ramp up of EA hype since the SPring. Everytime I log on to the front page, I see another EA puff piece. What the hell happened to OS?

So FISHEPA now your calling your customers 'pathetic' and 'obsessed' heh? That's really great and professional. Are you really a staffer or are you a little brother who is on the wrong computer? I have been a member here since '02 and this is the first time that a Mod has blatantly come out and name-called a whole group of members. Since you can't BAN yourself, I'm guessing you'll ban me. Or delete this post.
It IS pathetic and people are OBSESSED. There is a big difference between calling a specific person pathetic and calling their actions pathetic. If you don't understand the difference then I don't know what to tell you.

I think its great that the developers are still here after everyone throws them under the bus. It would be easy for them to just leave and never come back. I have faith they will listen to us and fix what they are able to. No game has ever come out and been perfect before, which is what everyone expects.

I love the fact that these guys are here AND that they haven't disappeared after the release of the game and some criticism.

There are some that can never be pleased. I swear if Jessica Simpson popped out of a birthday cake naked, some of these guys would say "I prefer brunettes".

Re: NCAA Designers Step Up to the Plate

The developers that come here are gathering our feedback to improve their game; it would be silly to ignore this much *free* market research, and all of the benefits that come with communicating with customers. Given the lack of quality in "next-gen/exclusive rights football" it wouldn't surprise me if EA's business model is too stupid to harness the power of web 2.0, and a medium that makes it easier than ever to learn about customers desires, expectations, and problems.

Having EA developers interacting with us is a good thing, but it's a two way street. They're not the messiah, and OS shouldn't be bending over backwards to accommodate them. This board has turned into whatever EA Reps/Devs want to make of it, and the moderators are sitting around like some fan boys who want a poster signed. Long time members comments are being filtered. The mods are stickying threads on EA's demand; wasting front page real estate to kiss their ***, and alienating strong community members who helped build this sites brand.

People come to OS for objective opinions about sports games. When peoples threads get locked, or comments get deleted when somebody has something critical to say about NCAA '09, it erodes the credibility of the site and brand.

Again, people can do this, but it must be done in a mature manner, and that is the problem with 80% of the people.

Unfortunately I think that's a point that you will never get across to certain people. They'd rather toss silly insults and run with conspiracy theories. It's what happens when people think they are completely anonymous.

Bottom line, I could care less if the developers interact with us or not. I know they read our posts, and I really don't care what they have to say other than the clear game flaws will be fixed or not be fixed. Its been like this for years, they get loads of free beta testing and research and choose whether or not to use it to improve the game.

In fact I'd rather have them say nothing at all than tell us to stop with the "knee-jerk" reactions and that we unanimously are happy with the game. Thats just silly. Its like they are trying to brainwash us into thinking we like the game.

Its the same as me trying to feed my daughter cauliflower the other night. I don't really know how to make it, it tastes pretty bad, but I kept telling my 2 year old that she liked Cauliflower. She took a few bites, didn't like it, but decided she was hungry enough to eat it. What else can you do when there are no options?
