Gran Turismo 5 May Not Arrive Until 2010
Can't wait to get your hands on Gran Turismo 5? Well, you might have to wait a little longer, according to Shacknews.
"The fifth full-fledged entry in Polyphony Digital's racing simulation series Gran Turismo may not hit PlayStation 3 until 2009 or 2010, according to studio founder Kazunori Yamauchi."Tags: None -

Way to kill a franchise. It's only hope is if GT5 revolutionizes console racing, but I'm not holding my breath.Check out my large collection of NCAA Football 12 screen shots from my Ohio State and USF Dynasties!

Unfortunately, if Gran Tourismo 5 isn't the greatest racer ever, I'm going to find it hard to claim it not a letdown. It will still sell well, as there are a lot of PS3 users who don't own 360s so they can't play Forza...but 2010? That's outrageous. Does a game really take a half decade to develop?Comment

Re: Gran Turismo 5 May Not Arrive Until 2010
If that new Pro Race Driver (or whatever it's called) has 30+ cars on the grid, damage, AI, physics, etc., I won't even care. I want a sim-based race experience, not a driving simulator. Driving shiny, everyday cars got old after GT2.
All they've done is add tracks, add cars, give 'em a new coat of paint, rinse, lather, repeat. I'm just not interested anymore. But that's just me.Comment

Wow. There will be another round of GRiD's & Forza's by then and both will probably be a better overall representation of true sim racing than GT will ever be. With that much time in the oven, you think they would have revolutionized the genre. But no.Truly Blessed -Comment
