-Pre-Season Notes-
While there were many questions about the Broncos' coming into this season we did know a few things.

1. ) The new coach was switching the team from a spread offense to a more balanced offense in order to compete against all types of defense.
2. ) Tim Hiller was the clearcut starting QB coming into the 2008 season.
3. ) Sophomore HB Brandon West would be a weapon on the ground and in the air.

No one will believe this. So, I managed to play through an entire season over the course of a few days. Today I played the final 4 games.

This resulted in a Top 25 Birth before the Illinois game.

I was #16 going in against #22 Illinois. I beat them by 17 points.
Then I crush the rest of the MAC schools I had to play. This resulted in getting bumped up to #4 by the end of the regular season.

On Championship week I beat Akron and ended the season with 47 passing TDs with Hiller. This pushed him into top Heisman contention.

I simmed through the week and #3 LSU lost to #23 Georgia.
#2 Oklahoma lost to Missouri... This left the only two undefeated teams to be #1 Ohio State and #2 Westen Michigan!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played a fairly easy schedule with my only single digit victory coming against Nebraska (31-28) in week one. So OSU scared the @&#! out of me. I will continue the story in the next post.

Hiller wins the Heisman
I win coach of the year

The national championship was one of the best games I have ever played.

It was a total Defensive battle. OSU crushed my passing game and Intercepted Hiller 4 times.

I managed to stifle Boeckman and Wells (dont ask me how) and kept them both in check for most of the game.

By the beginning of the 2nd half the score was
WMU 9
OSU 7

I received the ball in the second half and the Defensive battle started again. There were 9 punts in the game.

With 2 mins remaining in the game the score was
WMU 15
OSU 13 (a failed 2 point conversion)

I drive down the field and kick a field goal with 45 seconds left. This makes the score 18-13...

OSU drives down to my 45 yard line and with the final play throws an incompletion to Brian Robiskie as time expires!!!

I kicked 6 FGs and held OSU to 13 points....

This was some of the most fun I have ever had....

here is the unfortunate part... I really didn't want to win it all in the first year... the sim nazis will have my head...

So, I am going to start over with someone else... I will keep you posted...

I don't blame you. I'd change up sliders or something because WMU beating OSU is extremely unlikely. The ratings differences should make that very, very difficult.

It wasn't easy to beat OSU..... I had to kick 6 FGs with a 51 rated kicker...

I may have to just lose some games on purpose to satisfy people... or just play the game for myself.
