Check the Madden boards. There's already talk of Day 1 patch coming out for '09, as it was found to have similar bugs/issues as NCAA.

I'm definitely waiting to get NCAA, and it might be a game I never pick up. If I can ever get a transfer cable, I'm ready to update rosters on 2K5. But if I don't, I'm hoping Madden is playable this year.
