Re: FaceBreaker Demo Released, Impressions Here
Played the demo and I will be honest I was bored pretty quickly. Maybe by creating my own fighter and going online it could be fun.

$49.99? Still may be a little steep for me. Maybe I can get a coupon for $10 off.
For online and multiplayer, this would very nice to have.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/complex219Comment

I feel like this type of game should have been released 7 years ago. It's decent, quite ridiculous, but definitely not worth buying.Comment

Re: FaceBreaker Demo Released, Impressions Here
I think this game is pretty good. I like it. Now is it a boxing game? NO Way! This is a really fun multiplayer arcade game. Simple with slight depth.
This game would own in my opinion if it had a long robust story driven career mode ala Def Jam Fight for NY. But i doubt it has that so its just a cool party game to play with a bunch of your friends when they come over.

Re: FaceBreaker Demo Released, Impressions Here
I couldn't agree more... I thought I might get a little enjoyment out of the demo but then it was deleted after I realized that I had some brain cells I wanted to keep.Last edited by BSanders; 08-08-2008, 11:42 AM.Comment

I encourage all of you to share your thoughts with our line producer Todd Batty in the top thread in this forum.
i'm curious to see if you still think it's going to "bomb" after you converse with him.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

Re: FaceBreaker Demo Released, Impressions Here
Hey Vast, just as an FYI the game does have a pretty cool 1P mode. it's not story-driven with elaborate cut-scenes like DJFFNY, but the gameplay is pretty cool. It's loosely based on the Punch-out experience. You fight your way up a ladder of all 12 characters and then fight a hidden boss at the end. Along the way, you learn a bit about the characters with simple, old-school talking head NIS's. The gameplay is what we focused on, though. Each character has a prescribed achilles and you need pattern recognition and puzzle-solving skills to figure out each boxer's 'tell'. The mode is divided into belts that act as save points, there is a rematch system and even hints along the way if you get stuck. There are loads of unlockables, from characters and environments to costumes. You can play with any character you have unlocked, including your photogameface character. And there are 3 different skill settings to add to the replayability.I think this game is pretty good. I like it. Now is it a boxing game? NO Way! This is a really fun multiplayer arcade game. Simple with slight depth.

You can see all their thoughts in this thread. 95% of them thinks it sucks. It does suck. How would conversing with the line producer change their thoughts, Hypnotism? That's about the only way. Unless he has Jedi ability.Comment
