Re: Madden 09 Roster & Patch Update
Great news about the coming patches!
Downloading this years demo was the first time I've had my 360 linked to the internet. Looks like I picked an excellent time to invest in that longer patch cable.
As others have said though...what a drag for those who don't have internet access. I know what thats like.1969 NFL ChampionsComment

Re: Madden 09 Roster & Patch Update
I know the odds are very low if not impossible, but it would be awesome to see a patch include the new Texas Stadium

Re: Madden 09 Roster & Patch Update
Phil - great news. Good to hear you guys will continue to strive to make this game an awesome experience. Hopefully this announcement will keep these forums sane for a little while
Anyways, any specifics on the above - why is it hidden, what caused it to happen?
Thanks againComment

Re: Madden 09 Roster & Patch Update
No your right we should all be upset that EA cares(wow... felt weird saying that). Why shouldn't we be happy?
I'm tellin' ya... comments like these are just the most useless thing in the world. You had to post it didn't ya? To much positivity for you?!?Comment

Re: Madden 09 Roster & Patch Update
3 months ago, they said they were working on accelerated clock... last month they said it ain't happening... for once, nobody freaked. I think people are aware, for the most part, that this is a new team and they're working on fixing the previous regimes mistakes. For the effort, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. If we don't get it, we know they're trying... if they get SOME of it, it'll be worth the purchase for me.Just remember people, he said the DLC is a "Possibility", not a guarantee. Next month EA might turn around and say "sorry, we thought we could do it but now we realize we can't". I am taking the wait and see approach. If I see all of these changes and updates actually happen with patches then I will buy Madden. If not I won't buy it.
It's still good news and gives us hope.
NCAA has it's issues... huge ones, but you can't help but see the foundation of great football gaming there. I'm not ready to abandon them just because someone working for David Ortiz decided to make a really stupid decision. It's not Phil and Ian's fault, but it is Phil and Ian working to resolve it.
Madden 09 is a David Ortiz game, but Phil Frazier is putting his mark on it in a big way if this works out. If not... Madden 2010 will show up what Phil is capable of.There are two types of people on OS: Those who disagree with me, and those who agree.
The first kind is wrong. The second is superfluous.

Re: Madden 09 Roster & Patch Update
I'm growing tired of the poor people who don't have internet access smack. It is my opinion if you can afford to spend $300.00 to $400.00 on a gaming console and pay $60.00 per game you certainly can afford the monthly fee for internet service. If you can't maybe you should not be buying gaming consoles that were made with going on line and gaming with people all over the world as the main selling point.Comment

$ is not the issue. It is still not good software development practice to release something you know is broken and rely on fixing it later.I'm growing tired of the poor people who don't have internet access smack. Sure, some bugs that are deemed "minor" are shipped with the product but show stoppers (i.e. crashes) or regressions (i.e. things that worked in the last release but don't work in the new release) should always be fixed. Also, you should always try to fix things in areas that are most used/visible to the end user. And finally, if you add a new feature it should be as bug free as possible because nothing is worse then adding a cool feature that just doesn't work right.Comment
