Based on last years patch, you shouldnt have to re-start your dynasty. You may need to adjust some settings, but last year with the NCAA patch, you did NOT have to re-start, it patched the current dynasty

Haha, me too. I've never seen a pass interference call. Never, and I'm in my fourth season.

I have had a completely different experience. The penalty system from my view is much improved. I've seen countless face mask, pass interference, and HOLDING calls on the user and CPU that I've never seen, and I'm only in my second season.

On a side note, has anyone heard an update on patch 1 for the ps3?

Sony f-ing sucks!! The patch was submitted WEEKS ago! 360 had their patch a WEEK ago. Sony is just sitting on their a** here. It's obvious they don't give a crap about their customers at all. A MONTH ago I buy this game and can barely even use it, and now Sony takes their sweet old time with the patch?

How long does it freaking take to certify a patch? Over two weeks??? You get the patch, you load the game, you load the patch, you run through the tests, and BAM, you release it. This is totally inexcusable!! Why do you have to get the Almighty Sony's permission to release a patch anyway? How about DLC like Madden's doing?

At this rate, they'll just take another 11 months to put out the patch, then they'll sell it to us as NCAA 10. What a rip-off.

Adam, I know this isn't your fault and I'm sorry you have to be at the receiving end of all the crap we see on this board, but the higher-ups at EA & Sony have really dropped the ball on this. We're angry and we have the right to be. First EA releases a game which they KNOW ahead of time is defective, then Sony takes forever to get the patch to us. The roster glitch was known about before release date and they released the game ANYWAY. That in and of itself is inexcusable.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge dude, maybe the witheld the patch for a very important reason. I mean, what if they had released the patch with a glitch that crashed your hard drive and made your system not work? You don't know what exactly was wrong with the patch, it might've been something big.

Didn't one of the Devs said, that Sony found a bug and EA submitted the fixed patch last week?
This means that the PS3 patch will show up in one or two weeks.

From what I understand, it may even be released earlier, sometime this week even. Not sure though.

this is absolutely ridiculous, if my memory serves me correctly, we were optimistic that we'd see the patch over a week and a half ago, and now we're not even sure that we'll see it this week? what a joke

Why are you so angry? The first patch doesn't even do that much. EA is the one that screwed it up in the first place and they are the ones that had an error in the patch submitted. Furthermore, when Sony went to test the revised patch on Friday (?) the EA servers went down and Sony couldn't test this. Take a deep breath and realize that while Sony may be a little slow here they are not ultimately responsible. The second patch is the important one anyways.

yeah, i've actually seen pass interference once, it was on a pick i returned for a touch down. since i had possesion of the ball, the ref didn't know what to do so he called pass interference on the offense, which was actually me... so i dunno, other than that its been a few holding calls and a couple face masks.

Agreed, people are acting like this patch saves the game.........if this was patch 2 i think this would be a different story

I'm not really angry and haven't voiced displeasure, mostly b/c I'm just a patient guy, and this stuff doesn't really throw me off. It's not life altering by any means.

However, I can totally see why people are worried about this patch. I want to update rosters from Square 1 myself, and am not able to do so. For people like me, that's a major concern. That probably explains it.

I think the real issue is that if it is taking this long for the 1st patch which is the patch that is less involved, how in the heck can we be optimistic about patch 2. Again, game came out 07/15/08. 07/16/08 - promise of a 5-10 day release on patch 1. Um patch 1 wasn't released until August 5, and at that only for 360, PS3 still waiting and waiting and waiting.....With that, how can I a PS3 owner be anything but upset and worried that for one I still dont have the 1st patch, which again, is the lesser of the two and that when/if patch 2 is ever released, it seems the 360 users will have it weeks, possibly months before I do at the rate we are currently going.

FYI: Regardless of who's fault it is, EA, Sony, MS, whoever, who cares, JUST FIX IT!!
