    ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***

I think we have enough Arsenal fans on this site for the team to have its own thread.

They open up Premier League play tomorrow with a game against West Brom Albion, and hopefully their midfield will look better with Cesc in the starting lineup.

Message to Arsene: Emanuel Eboue is a waste of life on the soccer pitch. DO NOT START HIM!

Thoughts on Gallas as captain again?

If Eboue plays on the wing......I don't know what I'll do. Is Cesc confirmed to play tomorrow? I hope so, Ramsey was shocking against Twente.

I hope my boy Vela sees some time tomorrow. I have a feeling he's going to tear **** up at some point this season.

I had read Cesc was probable, but I just checked again and it's looking like he'll be out.

Nasri is questionable, as is Toure, which means there's a real possibility that the lineup that struggled against Twente will have the opportunity to redeem itself. Given how poorly that lineup played against Twente, I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow's game was a struggle.

Then again, it's possible both Nasri and Toure are fit and things go much better.

Another season with a shockingly thin squad. I can hear it now. "Ve lacked experience and maturity".

I would love to see Vela on the left, Nasri and Denilson in the middle, and Walcott on the right tomorrow.

That midfield would be sick, IMO.

Unfortunately, it will probably be Ramsey, Denilson, Walcott, and Eboue with RVP playing striker from more of an attacking midfield position.

Yeah, your lineups way better, but I'm not too optimistic it will happen. At least it's only West Brom.

Great to see ramsey and Denilson, Vela might get some playing time. The squad look good but, I dont know I tough Arsene would have signed a more experience playing to help out. the team look quite young and lack experience, you could see it in the pre-season friendlys, I just hope fabregas will take control of that midfield.

We need another striker before the transfer window closes thats for sure.

              3-1 Arsenal tommorow =p

Nah, the strikers are set, its the central midfielders that need reinforcements.

I already love Nasri, he scores in his debut. We needed a midfielder with an eye for goal other than Cesc, since Rosicky is always ****ing injured.

Have fun on the bench at Barcelona, Hleb.

That first goal of the year by Nasri was a thing of beauty. Vintage Gunners baby!

Didn't catch the highlights, just the score. Nice to get three points to start the year with all those injuries. Now perhaps during the upcoming week AW can turn his attention to sealing that deal he was talking about...

I'd like that, but is he ready to step in and start in the PL? That's what they need right now. But, like I said, I think de la Red would be a great signing for the future...

EDIT: Listening to FSC Match Day while tinkering in the FIFA menus and I heard Rafa Benitez say "I did not handle the talks for Barry with Aston Villa or the talks with Arsenal for Xabi Alonso"... I'm paraphrasing since Benitez's english isn't the best, but it was hard to tell if he was speaking in the past or present tense. Still don't think it will happen, although I did pick Alonso up in my MM...

What the hell is Eboue doing still playing midfield? The dude had 3 great chances in this game and didn't come close on any of them. The dude brings absolutely nothing to the midfield. He's not even very good at delivering crosses.

Haven't been very impressed with this team in the two matches I've watched thus far. Hopefully once Cesc gets healthy things will get better.

nice that narsi got a goal in his first prem action. adebayor is still his selfish self- had bedtner open across the goal mouth but he shoots w/ no angle & misses. but hell, 3 pts is 3 pts. and big ups to the thread creator, nice to a place for right-minded people like gunners supporters.
