the online game is affected by weather and the weather makes the game even more laggy than the regular online game. while playing online is fun the leagues are ok but i would rather see madden have a franchise mode like nfl hc. if they make hc with online leagues.. im done with madden then.

I'm sorry, but I say screw the online, I Love Madden offline like many others, we need offline fixes like then CPU QB snapping the ball in 2 seconds. Sorry for my rant, but this issue really bother me.

i agree completely. i beg for a online dynasty mode. could you imagine how much fun that would be if they didnt screw it up like leagues this year? that be a instant pre order for me.

Please give us a fully functional ONLINE FRANCHISE next year with ALL of the same options as the offline franchise (alla NCAA). And one more important thing, allow us to have Humans play as the CPU team in our franchise games. This is important ! We must be able to invite a user to take control of a CPU team in our games vs the CPU.

Well I'm very sure of one thing, the big feature for Madden 2010 will be 11v11 online play, Madden will have to follow suit with all other major sports games. Or at least make a 5v5 or something (no one plays as lineman?).

Least I haven't bought a Madden next gen game unless its used and cost under $5 at gamestop (there never worth even that much lol), unlike others here who still says its sucks but yet comes crawling back to EA every year to feed EA $60 for a game not worth $20.

I have marginally played RTTS and im sure I'll try Be a Pro on NHL 09 but play it religiously....yeah right?

The online community has too many dipshats and feckterds to be any fun.

11 on 11 would be a total flop. Don't waste your time on this feature. Would not work well in a football game.

QB Quick snapping is killing online play......Big Time !!

Madden Overall is a very good football game to play, if you play it like a real game of football, however this quick snapping crap that is going on online .....just drives me crazy !! because you cannot analyze the offensive personal or where they are lined up on the field......Thus the offense has a huge advantage and I can promise you that all the better players online are using this cheeeeeez tactic.

Bottom Line: Quick snapping all game long is not realistic at all unless your maybe in some type of 2 minute offense and even then QB's analyze the defense before hiking the ball.

online leagues don't matter, the average madden online chump spends way to much time doing FB DIVES, calling the same play actions 6 times in a row. Or giving up on defense and play zone all game afraid to get beat man2man, and the rest of you quit or d/c all the time. whats the hassle with online. Its not as important as you guys make it. I play madden to play football, you go online and 90% of your challengers are not playing football, and aren't using a fair team, and doesnt have gamemanship. Madden online is the only football game where some people NEVER THROW TO THEIR WIDE RECEIVERS? how is that football? Scaredy cats, and mamas boys hiding in their rooms, cheating and smiling about it. thats all thats online football is, fb dive, zone blitz, big deep zones, let the cpu make all the tackles, people dont even switch to make user tackles, all cpu, thats why they use smart teams, its like playing the demo, they pick the FS and run around, sometimes breaking coverage, running around with the guy that sticks no one, losers. who would want to play real online league with these bums online. EA is aware of its users and the cheesers, they know a league online would suck with 2nd HB leading the league in rushes and with HB dives. Until the gamers get some integrity, no need for a real online league in madden. How come nfl stadiums are packed every sunday, but online everybody only uses like 6 teams...garbage. fake records when the guy only uses the Pats, you have a fake record. Losers online. hooray for offline. I don't like any online game where its you vs someone, too cheesy, I play group multiplayer like COD4, madden is whack online, no honesty. no fair matches, real good players are hard to find. Vince Young and Tavaris Jackson users are losers too. Do people play to win or do they play to make you quit, playing the cpu for their fake record. losers

Who cares about the online features when they can't even get online play right!!

They need to forget the P2P based gameplay, and give us server based gameplay to eliminate the lag. A billion dollar company and we're playing online games like it's 1998.

Second, they have to get rid of the random disconnect issue, and even the disconnects that happen consistently(This year's culprit is late game FG's or XP's). Every year it's always something they screw up.

Third, it's pathetic our group of guys on another site have to keep track of our records manually because the only option to play ranked games is on All-Pro. Give us more options then that.

Before this talk about playing 5 vs. 5 or whatever, straighten things out for 1 vs. 1 gameplay first. To have this much lag and stability issues in 2008 is an absolute disgrace and EA should be ashamed.

Hook up the online players for once and give us the server based gameplay that we deserve. If Battlefield can have 64 players in a game at once with little to no problems, there is NO reason EA can't give us a lag free Madden experience between 2 players, no matter where they are located.

On topic: Everything is based online nowadays. To see that, Madden, one of the biggest franchise in all of gaming does not have online franchise in 2009 is mind-blowing.
