Have the same problem with my roster file except for patch 1 has caused it to freeze everytime I try to open it. I just had Adam tell me that roster files that were ok before the first patch would work fine after it, what a load of BS.

I don't think there is any way to know for sure whether or not your roster was corrupted before patch 1. They said, 'do not edit rosters until after patch 1, they are likely to be corrupted.'

Those of you having freezing issues, all I know to do is clear the cache and try re-downloading things. Also, if you have any files that could potentially be corrupted I would delete them, for instance, the sliders have been patched but the game undoubtedly loads your settings everytime you get on. Maybe it freezes because of something associated with that.

I logged in, changed my sliders, and played, and had no issues whatsoever.

^^^I can assure you my roster was not and still is not corrupted. To test this I copied it to a memory card and then tried to load it that way. It worked fine so it obviously is not corrupted. Something on the hard drive is causing it to freeze and the only thing that is on my hardrive that wasn't there before is the first patch.

First, most of what I posted wasn't directed towards you, it was towards the people who are having problems with patch 2, which is what this thread is about.

The only thing that was directed towards you is the statement that you really don't know if it was corrupted before. You could have used it fine, edited it, and as long as you didn't go into dynasty and dynasty crashed you wouldn't have even known it was corrupted. Your 'loading from a memory card' test is not convincing of anything.

Like I said, the only thing I know is that you should clear the cache on your hard drive. If you are having problems after patch 1 and not patch 2, then I am pretty sure you are one of very very few because patch 1 came out a few weeks ago and I haven't seen very many complaints about rosters since then.

I think the freezing issue has to do with patch 2, and I have no idea what is causing it. Hopefully it isn't a big deal, but maybe it is...

How do you get the patch? Is it the automatic update that pops on your screen when you first turn the game on?

This game is 1000000x times better post patch.

Jess and I are using an All American Slider set and I'm on the road at Alabama.

Some impressions.

1. Kickoffs are MUCH improved. No more house rules!

2. The Sliders working helps so much. Now the CPU is much more challenging on All American.

3. THERE IS A PASS RUSH!!! PRAISE THE LORD! THERE IS A PASS RUSH!!! I'm playing Alabama on the road in Tuscaloosa. My highly rated D line is actually getting in the backfield, not getting pancaked every play, and on a play just 5 minutes ago, both of my Defensive Ends blew by the Bama tackles and got to the QB. There are still pancakes, but not NEAR the insane amount as before.

I almost wept with joy. I'll post a vid in a bit showing the improved pass rush. It's absolutely exhilirating.

*note* I have Break block at 100 and CPU pass block at 0. I'm on All American.

4. You can hear opposing stadium sounds and it is SWEET. I'm listening to the Million Dollar Band in Tuscaloosa with Auburn on the road.

I'm such a geek, I'll be setting each playlist before I play because it adds SO much to the game.

Good job EA. This is a DEFINITE improvement, especially on defense. Hopefully these carry over in Human vs Human games as well.

This is the man who's opinion I was waiting on. If he's happy, I know I will be.

Here's some video of some real positive things I saw playing on AA with some slider tweaks. I'm still trying out sliders though, but I believe it is close.

I echo Auburn Alumni..it has greatly helped.

D-line can actually be played. I use the DL exclusively when I play the CPU, because if I use a DB, I will have a Thorpe Award finalist every dang season, regardless of whether the dude truly sucks or not.

I play exclusively DL, and I still have that problem. Some years are better than others, but at one point, the top FOUR guys for the award were on my team, and I even want to say there was a FIFTH guy further down the list, iirc.

I will say the thing I am most happy about is that...even though they said they didn't change the OL/DL interaction...it's blatantly obvious that the amount of chopblocks and pancakes..at least on All American with slider tweaks...is greatly diminished.

This is so huge because it allows you a much better opportunity of getting a DL free to rush the QB instead of getting knocked to the ground.

I have played about 6 games post patch and it's light years difference playing DL IMO. I'm really overjoyed because that was just about a gamekiller for me...having D linemen get flattened every play.

When I see Antonio Coleman speed rush past a tackle and get in the QB's face....tears of joy stream down my face.

NCAA 09 version 2.0 is a much more enjoyable experience for me.
