After the patch, the game does play a bit better and I feel I'll be able to get some realistic stats for my games but, I've said this before, the BIGGEST problem in this game is the absolute refusal of EA sports to look at the Adaptive AI model. The game is just not challenging from a play calling/personnel standpoint. I honestly feel that I could call a 2 Man Under every play and win the game.

I played a game of 08 a couple days back and the play calling is light years better than the farce that is 09.

You could even get away with a 2 Man Under with Press coverage because the CPU goes deep maybe, and that's a BIG maybe once per game. How long has this problem been in the game? It's just another detail that obviously gets overlooked every year in favor of things like better lighting at dusk and cheerleaders.

Here's hoping that someone over at EA gets it, because the play calling is just killing this game for me.

I have out of sheer laziness and won. Bad CPU playcalling cannot be patched. It needs to be reprogrammed and overhauled in order for teams to play a unique style. At least in '08 the CPU would kick a FG instead of going for it on 4th in situations where you would take the pts or play a field position game and punt.

I would love to see where College Football 2K3 would be right now if it and NFL 2K had been able to continue. I think we all know that EA would be much further along with its game because the 2K series always pushed things forward at a pace the EA is unconfortable with.

Two things I noticed last night and I don't know if they are a problem with the patch, or the game in general.

1. I threw a pass on third down and it was clearly incomplete, the ball went behind my WR and hit the dirt 5 yards past him and bounced around on the ground. I get ready to call a punt and all of a sudden the play is under review to see if he made the catch. WTF?

2. I intercepted the ball in the back of the end zone and let myself get tackled there so I could get the ball starting at the 20 (I was tackled in the back of the end zone, no where close to the 1 yard line). The screen went blank for about 2-3 seconds and when play resumed it was my ball, 1st and 10 on the 1 yard line. That was my first "WTF?". I ran my first play, a run up the middle for 6 yards. On 2nd and 4 from the 7 I threw and 8 yard pass. When I get ready to run my next play instead of it being 1st and 10 from 15 yard line the game tells me it is 3rd and 20 from the 15 yard line. I completed a short pass on 3rd down, punted on 4th down, and the problem never showed up again after that.

Number 1 is not patch related its been that way since the game came out.

I would love to see where College Football 2K3 would be right now if it and NFL 2K had been able to continue.

College Football 2K was canned by 2K by choice. At the time there was no exclusive license involved.

Why can't we get an update of any information on the PS3 patch? Isn't there any communication between Sony and EA? All businesses try to cooperate with a time table...I know Sony doesn't charge for online (thank god cuz I never will) but authorizing a patch can't be a hard process, especially when one patch already went through...

so do i have to restart my online dynasty to get the new sliders to work? or can i just change the sliders i already have and be able to keep my Hurricanes on track to win the ACC championship at the same time eliminating robo qb?

Thank god they fixed the subsitution slider!!!!!!! That made the game 100000% more enjoyable....now i have a reason for having a depth chart.

It was like the other sliders, wasn't working. Now when my MLB gets to 70 stamina my 2nd string steps in. Before my MLB would stay in the game and couldn't move at all. Plus the WR rotation works wonders now.
