Question...
Is there a plan for a 3rd patch, or is this it?Comment

I'd just like to reiterate once again.
This game is MUCH MUCH improved post patch.
The pancakes are definitely decreased (pass rush is still not GREAT..but its "ok" now) and defensive pass coverage is much tighter.
Kick and Punt Return coverage is light years better.
CPU AI and Playcalling leaves much to be desired, but I'm having a blast now.AUBURN TIGERS

My games online have been lower scoring which is a good thing imo. I actually got sacked by Alabama's defensive end 3 times last game.I'd just like to reiterate once again.

I hate that you fumble now almost everytime you dive. I don't really understand the reasoning behind that. I lost a game because of it. I was in the red zone, I dove for extra yardage, I barely got touched and fumbled. It was returned for a TD!!!!
Turnovers result in more touchdowns then they should. I guess that's just the poor pursuit angles.***My Teams***

I agree with AA and his two friends.
Just played my first dynasty game, Cal (me) over Michigan State 27-17. I continue to adjust sliders as I go, but I've played enough to conclude that the major issues are corrected with sliders, as I've eliminated robo QB and improved the CPU run game by leaps and bounds.
Also, this was the second game where I tested the HUM pass rush by lowering the roughing the passer slider to 5, and it enabled me to get three sacks (I had five the last game). I really think this adjustment, along with limiting the blitzes and playing mostly zone D, corrects any pass rush concerns. It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch #2 Available, Impressions Here
wait, so the sliders don't really work pre-patch #2? that makes since because in my online dynasty i have human pass protection very low and yet everyone still has all day to throw. can anyone comment on post-patch pass protection if you lower the slider setting? i'm at the point where if i don't blitz 2 or 3 guys the other QB literally can sit back there for 5-10 seconds and pick me apart. improved pass rush/less effective pass blocking would at least fix some of the problems with the game.
can anyone who has the patch comment on this?Comment

Pre-patch #2, the human sliders affected both the human and cpu. The cpu sliders did not work. The patch fixed this which now allows you to better fine-tune the game.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 09 Patch #2 Available, Impressions Here
My original score for the game - 6.5. But after the two patches, I'm giving it an 8.0. The CPU play calling is dreadful, and I'm still scratching my head over the lack of throw power for CPU quarterbacks on any pass that's not over the middle, which still leads to too many interceptions - but the game is a hell of a lot better, and worth the purchase, which I regretted at first.
OMT will be getting a ''Thank you'' via PM.Comment

I understand OMT is on vacation, and here's to him enjoying his time off, but from what I gathered, Ian (I believe that's the other guy's name), and a few others were posting on different boards also. Would it kill one of them to pop in and give a timetable for the PS3 release of the patch, or share any news on that that they know?
I mean, I'm not terribly upset, I'm still working on my game as far as relearning controls and getting better myself (first NCAA since 07, and only second NCAA ever), but it seems to me they're turning off some PS3 users...even though I realize it's more of a Sony thing than an EA thing.
Regardless, no way I'm starting my dynasty until patch #2.Comment

You're right. I don't mind so much the patch being delayed on the PS3 but let us know what is going on.I understand OMT is on vacation, and here's to him enjoying his time off, but from what I gathered, Ian (I believe that's the other guy's name), and a few others were posting on different boards also.
