Again this looks like another solid effort by EA but there is something about the movement that just doesnt feel right.

It's still a little odd but it's a huge improvement over 08. I love the triple threat animations in this vid. The jumper animations/sig styles still look very weak though. This game looks promising, no two ways about it. It'll be comical if EA figures out basketball before football.

I liked the video, but I would like to see more missed/made shot variations for jump shots. In all of the Live '09 videos, it has been dominantly brick or swish.

These last few videos have convinced me. I'll still play the demo, just in case, but going from these videos, Live won't be getting my money.

- Spacing is a problem

- Iso-Motion is easy to pull off if you spend like 30 minutes in practice mode.

- You'll get more control this year, but animations??? You're looking at Live and complaining about 2K animations?

- Have you seen the crap caused by the separate layup and jump shot buttons in Live? Well, at least it should be fixed in Live 09, but there's nothing wrong with how its handled in 2K.

i used to be a HUGE Live fan going back to the first game, then i switched to 2k in 2006 and haven't really looked back. i'm going to give this game a try because there are still things that really bug me about 2k:

the spacing
iso-motion doesn't feel right to me
lack of control and the animations
lackluster franchise mode
lack of separate layup and jump shot buttons

if Live is playable, then I'm going to probably just play that this year.

I think he was talking about the lack of control he has on some animations not the way the players animate.

I agree with this.....it's a little too generic. It needs a little more variety.

That dunk at around 2:39 looked reaaly good. I wish all the dunks animated that well

You can control you jumpshot this year so its more like 2K's where if you want to shoot well you have to learn that persons shot.

i can deal with herky jerky animations, bad animations in general, its truely the gameplay and AI that im interested for this year. especially the dynamic dna. included among that would be late game late qrt AI, substituting at the right time for players in foul trouble etc., and lastly if teams play like themselves and or take advantage of mismatches.

Looks good but Live's animations are still too inconsistent. Some look pretty good, and others just look awkward. The animations are just too hit and miss. Can't wait for the demo to see how the feel of the game is.
