There's nothing grown up about playing videogames. They bring the kid out of all of us. Mature and immature.

I know you and sage had no ill intent in your replies, but just for clarification:

The idea I was trying to get across is to act like a grown up when determining how you (not you specifically) are going to portray yourself when expressing your opinion about anything, but specifically in this case, a video game. I am 30 years old, married and I have a full time career. I am a mature, grown man and I play video games. But I am also a basketball FAN and I enjoy playing both the Live and 2K series, as they both have their respective good and bad aspects.

You won't find me spewing a biased hatred to one game or the other, just because I'm "loyal" to either game. There is far to much of that going on in these forums.

Whatever, looks fine to me. I am more concerned with the way it plays at this point. I thought the graphics were fine last year and this year seems no different. Gameplay is what sells me. IMO, if Live played as good as it looked, I would be getting Live.

J. Kidd looks great, Yao Ming is ok but not great, his head is too round, and that mustache shadow makes him almost look hispanic and not chinese.

And this says the guy who thinks Live's graphics smoke 2k ones out of the water...come on man, you're complaining about mustache!

well in reply to posters complaining about others' opinions on these graphics... just because we don't like jaggies and 2k is showing only "enhanced" replay pics and not in game... does NOT mean that we are trolling it in favor of live.

Some of us just want the stellar game play and models and animations of 2K with god danged anti-aliasing enabled so the in game graphics look as good as these enhanced REPLAY pics you are fawning over.

The only thing I'm worried about is the lack of gameplay footage we have gotten so far. 2K did the same thing with MLB2k8 and it wound up being a graphical turd in comparison to the 2K7.

Here's hoping that lack of footage doesn't equate to poor product.

2K has been tooting their own horn about having better graphics this year, than years past. I highly doubt the graphics are going to be step back, or even "bad" for that matter.

Guys 2k does have a pretty good marketing plan right now..i mean look...why not let nba live have its glory for the first couple of weeks of this month then BAM! 2k will hit us hard with all kinds of info and gameplay videos...making everyone wanna go out and bye it cause by that time all the live hype will be down and forgoten. i also heard somewhere that they said the live demo came out earlyer then ea wanted?? p.s nhl2k9 came out in stores today so i expect lots of info on nba 2k9 to hit us very soon..

One thing I like is that the players look more human - and not like radioactive mutants. For some reason the players in the previous games seemed to glow and were kind of blurry looking. Glad to see that's gone - that always kind of bugged me.

Maybe its time to convert to NBA Live 09..Looks promising..

I am a 2k fan though..We need a demo to compare the too..I do however like the new Live 09..

If 2k dont fix that sliding crap they got with their player movement I will not buy 2k this year..Will be the first time..Hopefully they fix that crap..

Live 09 has made some improvements this year, but they are not there yet. I don't think your brain has caught up with you yet after the beating you received from the Bears the other night.

YES! i know ive seen them in that screen shot! on orlandomagic.com they are only showing pices of the new unis. but you can tell that they are the ones that are on that screenshot of 2k9! go MAGIC!BOUT TIME WE GET NEW UNIS!!!!!!
