Nice review. Too bad about the lack of FA and re-signing during the season. Does anyone know if there is CPU v CPU or an opportunity to let a game go to a certain point then jump in vs the CPU?Comment

Re: NHL 2K9 Review
That's true. Teams do re-sign their players but the new contracts only kick in after the end of the previous contract, which would be a bitch to program I'm sure.Comment

A very fair and objective review. I think the goalies in this game don't get the praise they should in reviews, especially when compared to NHL 09. It's 2k's "human" goalies that really make goal scoring satisfying and varied. I am surprised that the review fails to mention the issue with the cpu's offensive ai tendency to drive to the net without regard to the defense in front of it. Overall, I think a lot of details were left out of this review that should have been included such as the new skill moves.Comment

Re: NHL 2K9 Review
I thought the review was spot on.
I bought both games, as I usually do.. liked them both and then settled on NHL 09.. or at least I did for about a month, but after many games, it just feels like 08 to me and I just can't get excited playing it as much as I did last year. They made some great strides, but something about 2k9 is bringing me back again.Comment
