I haven't played Madden since day 1...and sadly it has never crossed my mind if I even want to pop it in.

It feels like Madden '09 hasn't even been released yet.

I'm anxious for The Show '09.

Same goes for me, I've played 1-2 games and see/heard about the huge issues and have to wait since day 1 for the patch #2 and DLC. I am still playing the show 08 a lot, just like NHL 09.

I can't wait for the show 09, my game of the year.

I've probably played a total of 50 games between Play now and Franchise and honestly - the game has not frozen on me

Same here. Though I've heard the problem occurs when you load your franchise often, and/or play a lot of games in a single sitting. I never play more then two games back-to-back without turning off my xbox at some point.

I don't think the Vikings suck, they just need another QB this year. They need more than 3 points every time Peterson gets them in the red zone. Poor guy, does all that work for nothing (except the money )

I haven't played alot of Madden so far I'll admit, but I have not had a Franchise freeze yet, knock on simulated computer wood.

HAHA you are correct! The defense can't do much more except for stop the pass but then again the defense shouldn't have had to of been in the position they were in last week if they would have scored some TD's. That's why Gus Feurotte is the new starter. I would really love to see what Booty can do but Feurotte really isn't unreliable.

Do you have your smart weapons turned on? Dumb question but I thought I would ask.

Yes the weapons are on....im a experienced madden player....the dont work on those safeties for some reason but they work for the other smart safeties in the game.

I still have not been able to play the game because of freezing issues, so I am really wanting to get the patch so I can at least play the game. I know it has not happened to the majority of people, for the minority that cannot plan the game because of freezing, it is horribly frustrating and makes me question buying future games.

The Madden Tech board at EA is pretty bad because we get no updates over there.

Still havent had anyone answer this so I figure ill try again. can I start a franchise now and not have to restart when the patch comes out to get the full additions from it?

You can start a franchise now. The patch will allow you to continue where you left off. The progression fixes will only affect future seasons and edited players will need to be 'touched' or edited again post-patch to resolve their progression issue.

Not really..its been stated a zillion times by developers that Xenos is a better graphics processor then the RSX and Sony's CELL is only better then 360's triple core 3.2ghz 64bit cpu's in raw FLOPS and a few other things.. thats it.. there for as John Carmack himself stated..the 360 has a more powerful GPU..there for has more power (overall) in performance output for videogames .. simply put, the cpu's in both systems are about equal in realistic world performance (when developing to the metal) but the graphic's chip's..hands down 360 owns the ps3....pm ian, im sure he could vouch on that. Im not saying the 360 blows the ps3 out of the water..no thats not what im saying..im saying this myth that the ps3 is more powerful then the 360 simply isnt true..infact its the other way around, really, it is.

Now..do you want to debate some more? I will litter your email with plenty of proof..give me your email..we can debate elsewhere.

Look im no fanboy of any system.. but what erks the hell out of me is ignorant fanboys and i dont mean ignorant in a BAD WAY..but your another one of these sony fanboys that are fooled by your lack of knowledge of whats inside these consoles and by Sony's PR BS. The only thing the ps3 has over the 360 right now is one thing..its bluray drive and that dont do much for visuals and raw power.

haha chill out chief. I am not a fanboy of anything. Actually I own both systems and rarely play my PS3 because everything I play runs smoother on the 360 anyways. I just brought that up because everything I had read in the past (before i had either system) was that the PS3 had a lot more processing power than the 360. Sorry if I touched a sensitive nerve.

One of the bugs that the community reported was that players who were edited in some way (gear, looks, etc...) wouldn't progress in future seasons. We fixed this bug but for those with a franchise already in-progress, they'll need to edit anything on these players to resolve the issue. Anyone starting a new franchise will be fine.
