i hardly ever use the X button i only use it when a player is having a bad shooting game and i think the X button would bring some luck for that player.

His set shot is like that sometimes. Most of the time he has 1 leg out a little further like 2k's, especially when he's on the move.

If you've been down with 2k since the jump, then the shot stick is mandatory. No questions asked. The shoot button is for rooks.

I can never get the jumpshot timing down with the shotstick. My shooting percentage drops like 20% .

I remember telling myself that I'd only use the shotstick for shooting when I had 2K6, only to never win an online game and shoot 30% for the whole year.

                I just suck at it.

That don't even make sense. People who use the shoot button generally are people who have been playing games for a long time since it's what they're used to. Why would they change their style unless it adds some kind of incentive? Button for shoot, shot stick for layups, dunks, post moves, and floaters.

I disagree. I've been playing 2k since about 03, and I still use X to take my jump shots. I use the stick for layups and dunks, but I don't like using it for jumpers.

my brother still uses the x button...ive moved on since then, the shot stick just feels sooo right when taking a jumper..

Yep. The shot stick is too unreliable for jumpers in the sig-shot era. They'll never get rid of the jumpshot button because of oldies like myself who have been playing 2K since DC days.
