Out of whack player stats at the end of the season?

Looking the stats at the end of the season for other teams I am noticing some pretty weird stats. Highly inflated qb stats(was aware of this one), sack leaders for teams with extremely low numbers of sacks and very low int numbers for team leaders. For example George Selvie leading South Florida in sacks with only 5 and team leaders in int's with one pick. I literally looked through several teams with no player being in double digits in sacks and the average being around 5 for team leaders with some as low as 3. Not that big of deal but still strange.

I am looking at the Lombardi list(best d-linemen) and there is literally one guy on the entire list with double digit sacks. Also looking at the leaders in tackles for linebackers the numbers seem very low.

It seems to me the sim numbers are heavily skewed in favor of the offense.

Edit: simmed a second season and to use George Selvie as an example again he had three sacks on the year and played in all the games.
