Phil, do they email you that they have put the patch up or right before it goes up or anything like that?

The reason I ask is trying to save some members "wear and tear" on both their systems and their minds, starting and stopping the game to see if the patch has released yet.

Yes. They normally send us a note saying that the patch will be up at X:XX time.

I don't care if it's not released tonight, but just as long as it's not faulty and buggy, then it's ok. I hate rushed work. I can't emphasize that enough.

lol...I just read on the HC forums that Josh said the HC patch might not be out in the a.m. either. There might be some upset footballers this weekend (though, I guess the PS3 HC players don't really care). Oh well, that's just how it goes sometimes.

On the Xbox 360 when you start up Maddenn 09 it will disconnect you from Xbox live, assuming you have it, and say an update is available and if you wanna download it. Just highlight the yes option and press the A button and wait for the download. Once the download is finished you will be logged back to Xbox live and Madden 09 will run as normal, with the patch.

I think the PS3 is similar but even though I own one I dont play it much and cant remember exactly what happens but I'm sure its just like the 360.

I have a question for Ian or Phil.

In regards to the player progression fix, will the fix include progression both in preseason and from game to game? Or are these things already included?

Ya good question. I remember when u would get a progression/regression at the end of preseason, every 3-5 weeks during regular season, and right before playoffs or every week in playoffs, can't remember. That was nice and I think more realistic. Any way, can't wait for the patch! And my 360 is fixed and like 4-5 hours away!
