Sliders are good for adding difficulty and customizing a game to my ideal. Which is different from your ideal. Don't go bashing sliders they are the only thing that has kept me from quitting video games altogether.
Team sliders help out so much. Thank god FIFA finally decided to use them, too bad NCAA refuses to incorporate them.

I'm the same way as you. I would listen to commentary but since it's been the same I usually just turn it off. Especially when you're playing Association mode and you hear the same things about your team over and over again.

Honestly, i just like crank up the court/stadium sounds so it feels like I am playing in the game and not watching it on TV.

All valid points across the board on commentary though. Don't hype up new commentary if it's the same tired stuff.
