on topic, the vids look nice, but they never do 2k Justice... I get excited for vids and go crazy when I'm actually playing...


I'm pretty sure like previous 2k games, we'll be seeing new animations well into the game's life span... I wish I could say the same about the commentary lol



But i'm seeing good improvements in these vids gameplay-wise, atmosphere-wise, graphics-wise, and animation-wise

I thought that the AI chose plays based on personnel?

I don't know WHAT they do but I know they don't use the plays from the team's playbook. They use teams from the "All Plays" playbook which I hate

anyone else having a hard time watching the vids? Mine will load completely and play for 3 seconds but just stop after that

How about suggesting that 4 next years version they incorporate a "create a play" feature. That way if u have a problem with the default playbook, u can create your own plays. And if you're hard pressed 2 capture the teams exact playbook, u can do some research yourself and put em in. If they did it, I'm sure it'd be something up/downloadable...

I could've sworn there have been posts over the last couple of years around here letting people know which plays should be run by specific teams. However, I would guess that it would better to link plays with coaches, rather than teams.

Well to be honest, I dont think the user playing in the vids has done the game justice.

For example, he doesn't switch defenders on defense and roams with one defender.

This was evident when Chris Bosh blocked Jamison and the user ran over with Jermaine to recover the ball instead of switching to CB4. Once he ran over, Jamison recovered the ball and passed it back to wide open Haywood for the made jumper.

Also, when he would set up a nice cross with Calderon, he didn't go into a series of moves or use it to attack inside and instead stopped his momentum and passed it back out.

The user runs his offense through the post but doesn't use wing players or guard players at all in any of the videos he's posted which shows me he might not understand the isomotion system perfectly. Although he is attempting to show us sim ball, I would love to see some more full out driving layup animations and a series of crossover ankle breaking moves.

I love how right when Bosh got the ball in the post the other 4 players automatically spaced out behind the 3 point line. I don't think he called for a post play either.

This wasn't in 2k8 at all.

I would be fine if we can just ADD/DROP any plays from the Default Team's Playbook so that when the personnel changes, we won't be stuck with Center Plays for the Magic when Dwight is no longer there. Thats all I want/need.

And then make sure the CPu runs the plays that are in THAT team's playbook
