i use dallas cuz there my team, but what would be a good team to start one with that isnt a horrible team but not great like dallas either?

I had both Willie Parker and Marion Barber run for 100 yards against the Browns in my franchise, including an 80-yard TD run by Parker when I blitzed and they ran a counter.

Holding penalties happen a lot... Dallas had three straight plays in which they got called for holding, putting them in a 1st and 39. Those might need to be turned down a little, I had it at 100.

Played a game in the pouring rain and the field was torn up and the players were covered in mud. Looked awesome!

I finished my second game post patch again vs the Phins and this time I lost 6-3. I had a chance to score a TD or at the very least kick the game tying field goal, but well....

Miller dropped this ball with about 15 seconds or so to go and I had 1 timeout left.

I had penalties maxed again, but this game they weren't in abundance. I had a total of 7 penalties in the whole game between the two teams. Pennington was definitely better going 12-18 for 156yds with 1 int. Williams carried 4 times for 15 yards. Brown had 1 for 8yds.

Did you notice if any of the money plays were fixed with this patch ? I have been using madden calls plays for a while to cut down on money plays . And are you still on all madden level?

I can understand making AI QBs on offense taking a bit longer, but why on earth would they add this to extra points and punts as well. Just a terrible oversight. TERRIBLE.

I ran a quick franchise sim, and looked at the progression.

Top end guys don't really progress much, but that's okay, since players do have a ceiling. The middle of the road guys do progress though, which was the biggest problem before.

It was odd though, Tyler Thigpen progressed 5 points to 80 something with a 40 qb rating, while Matt Flynn (guess Rodgers got injured) had an 89.9 QB rating, and only moved 2 points. I didn't check pass attempt though.

Some what off topic.... i have xbox live and haven't used it in months... connected it up today to get the patch and it says IP Failed.... im connecting directly from the comcast modem... any clue how to fix this?

Yeah so on my existing Cards franchise, Favre still has no stats, which is me also assuming that nothing from the patch is applied to it. Can anyone tell me how to get it on there, or if I'm wrong?

This patch is a game saver. I have only played one game so far but I can see the potential that this game has now. This patch has made the first worthy Madden game on a next Gen system. I would still like to see the accelerated clock and computer sliders but now I can wait for those things. I have never seen a game benefit so much from a patch before. I will definitely enjoy the rest of this NFL season. I love this game now

I just have a few questions?

Does the CPU make correct decisions in the 4th quarter. I mean like doing onside kicks, or running out of bounds to stop the clock etc?

Has the CPU running game improved at all, as far as overall yards, and yards per attempt.

Is their any freezing at any point during the game. (Franchise, or Single game?)

-I had the game go into no huddle on me as the game was winding down, and throw some out passes to stop the clock.

-Mc Ghee had a huge run on me on a sweep left. Looked great as the left tackle sealed off the end to allow for Mc Ghee to slip free for 40 yards.

-Saw no freezing through a few "Play Now" games

-Slowly tweaking down the penalty sliders. 100 too high for Holding, expirementing @ 75 now. Also have seen a few clipping calls, false starts (dumb QB thing), and facemasks.

-In my few games however i have seen the CPU QB actually plant and throw, looks great.

The new patch wont apply to your saved pre patch franchises.

First thing I did this morning when the patch went online was test the field degradation. I played a 5 mins quarters match at Lincoln Financial Field under heavy rain and I can clearly see a difference. People just have to complain about something, I've come to that realization. The field degradation looked awesome! There were random patches of mud on the field (around the end zones, midfield, hash marks etc..) that can clearly be noticed by mid 3rd quarter.

Holy crap...I remember why I stopped playing this game. Is it something I'm doing? HONESTLY? QBs are connecting at WILL!

I either need tips or I need to be done with this game. I love NCAA and NHL this year, but my real love is NFL football and this game drives me insane. I can't take it. Plus, I have next to no control on the placement of my passes...

The thing is I had controlled the QBs with the chiefs franchise I have, but for some reason the last two games (I'm my Giants), Bulger and Campbell arer 11 for 12 after the first quarter!

Ugh...

Oh, but field degredation looks great.
