    I should've have known that they would step it up this year. Especially with no college game to work. I bet they just put the entire CH staff on NBA game to maximize their resources. This sounds like the level of improvement we'd be complaining about that would be in the college game, but not in the pro version.

      Love the little things, like the codes menu, contracts, cpu trading, option years, customizable contracts......

      Great news, thanks SimBaller and OS

          You could be right, Legacy mode in CHoops blew away Association mode in NBA2K8.

            I wish it was Oct. 7th.... assoc. 2.0 is looking really nice. It was probably talked about in other threads;

            Is player progression going to be the same as last year, or more stat oriented?

                Oh. My. Goodness.

                Simballer, you are my hero. Look at all those little fixes! I think my heart skipped a beat. You guys should really consider releasing the game tomorrow because uh... please?

                  On the surface, it seemed like only the menus and the interface had changed in the Association, but it is truly about "The Little Things" as SimBaller puts it. Hopefully they fixed the problem where every team is over the cap and unable to sign free agents after a few seasons. This sounds incredibly promising, kudos to 2k.

                    uh bro, thats basically what bird rights are for. if you have guys who are on your team for 3+ years without being traded, they have bird rights and you can go over the cap to re-sign them

                      I know. I used to live College Hoops. It pained me to know it was killed, but I guess its has been reborn in the Pro game.

                      True Story:

                      At one time during the CH series, there was a big boom on the 2k site for text legacies. I know for a fact, that 2k developers were very big fans of the legacies. So much so, that they chose at least one site member to write the generic legacy texts found in the following iteration of College Hoops. I guess sort of what they've done for Momentus.

                      Its pretty awesome to see stuff like this happen time and time again with 2k.

                        In 2k8, you could resign players when over the cap. The problem was that player's ratings would become SO inflated that everyone was demanding huge contracts which the teams couldn't afford since they ran out of cash faster, and hence, a lot of players were left unsigned. Bird rights will help, but its more of an issue of player progression, and teams not having the logic to go into rebuilding mode. Hopefully this is addressed in 2k9.

                          Efficiency Ratings are a Huge addition. It shows the true importance of a single player and how effective the team is when said player is on the court. Its the reason why Mo P doesn't lead the Hornets to wins but for some reason, when he's on the court, the Hornets are high level effective, when he's sitting, they drop a bit. All over the league there are stats like that. David Lee, two seasons ago had a high effc rating. Can't wait to see it.

                            And it's the " ‘Little Things’ " like this title has done year after year that makes me come back for more. Mad props 2k, for real.

                                It sounds great but how can you get realistic trades or stats with the player ratings so screwed up?
