Has anyone else had the computer punt the ball with under 5 seconds left in the first half? And they're in field goal range. I just saw it for the first time today. Never happened to me before the patch. Didn't know if it happened to anyone else.

I actually took the game out and snapped it in half. Pretty dumb because I coulda traded it in to Gamestop or something but this game deserves the trash can.

It actually felt really good tossing in the 2 halves of a Madden disc into the garbage with old discarded pizza crusts, coke cans and cheetos wrappers. Right were it belongs.

Did you dig your copy out of the trash and glue the halves back together???

Or did you have a backup copy to continue playing and still gripe about?

I honeslty only had a freeze twice since Madden came out.

I think I had somewhat 10 online Games and probably about 30 offline games.... plus training, Virtual trainer, Madden moments etc... no problem what so ever!

Talk about Ironic.....

After 5 straight in game freezes witht he patch, I decided to try something.....I deleted the patch, then tried to play a Franchise game.

NO FREEZES

This is messed up

I have never had a freezing problem but I have yet to play any franchise games. As far as robo QB i have turned down the pass defence so its harder for the cpu qb which seemed to help a little. I have defence running up to an 18 and that seemes to be pretty realistic. Watching that video of the giants and raiders or whoever it was in the rain I cant wait to play a mud bowl like that it looked awsome. i have most of my penalty's around 75 and it seems to be fairly realistic. I will keep playing games and making tweaks. I do custom sliders now cause the my skill was so up and down if you played great then had an off game. If people are havin such a problem with their passing game or the cpu passing game being too good just tweak the sliders thats what they are there for. I had cpu running up to a 20 but them thomas jones ran for an average of 11.1 on me so I figured I had jumped up too high from 15. Anyone else have succes with the sliders?

Why on earth would you buy 2 copies of a game in the first place.....especially a game that you consider to be complete "garbage"???

I feel bad for everyone having the freezing issues maybe its just a batch of bad discs. Because I have had the game since release and played the heck out of it and I have yet to have it freeze on me a single time before or post patch. I play quick games, I sim franchise modes, play games in franchise mode and never had it freeze a single time. Now it will probably freeze on me since I posted this I probably jinxed myself just now.

So what your saying is, its freezing constantly? I highly doubt "most" people are having trouble getting through a game without freezing but I can clearly see you are since Ive read it a half dozen times in various threads.

It's not as bad as the 10-post wonders are making it sound. It sounds like the people who had freezing issues prior to the patch are still having them and the people who aren't...still aren't.

The only freezing issues I had prior to patch 2 came once I got to Year 3 of my franchise. Ian gave a pretty good indication that it was that type of freezing that was addressed in this patch.

Now with patch 2, I'm 7 games into my first season (started EVERYTHING fresh post-patch), and I've yet to experience even one freeze.

Try this. I remember last year this happened to me ALL the time. Every game. I'd be so damn pissed I couldn't see straight.

I'd play an entire game only to have it freeze at the replay box.

Then at halftime, I started to WATCH a few replays(b/c the box pops up there as well) of the first half. Not all five, just two or three. Takes but thirty seconds.

After the game...NO freezes. I was shocked, and I never had another freeze after that.

So give it a try. Watch a few of the highlights at halftime. Like actually open it up so it fills the entire screen. Then flip to another one of the five and do the same. I always made sure I watched three.
