Any impressions of post moves? Up & Unders especially. Does the animation still take forever to get off.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3 Only For Now)
thanks. I haven't been using the shot stick. I guess now's as good as time as any to start learning. There is not a separate dunk button/command. If you're in good position and are holding turbo (R2?) when you shoot, your player will dunk most of the time. And a word of advice -- get used to using the shot stick rather than the buttons... makes the game SO much better, especially now that they added the adjusted shots.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

There is a button (circle on PS3 and B on 360) where you call for a pick, and I'm still getting used to it, but depending on when you release it, the man either cuts towards the basket or rolls for the shot.Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3 Only For Now)
Why the hell does this game look like a PS2 game to me! Its all grey! I love 2K, really, but HOPEFULLY its just the demo. Its NOT colorful, AT ALL! Its NOT smooth, AT ALL! Gameplay is great, like always. But the look, man, im just goin get the 360 one, I really dont want to risk nothing.
BTW: I have my PS3 settings on 1080i on hdmi plugs, but when I boot up the demo, it downgrades to 720P, WTF! I know it was like that in 2k8. So yea, overall looks like the 360 one wins the war, I thought it will be no different, but, damn...Comment

Re: NBA 2K9 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3 Only For Now)
I don't game much on my PS3 (use it for Blu Ray Movies) so I'm new to the control scheme. (360 balla) but I must say the new animations they have added this year are helluva good. The ISOMOTION is tighten & will need some getting used to.
They have NEW Free-Throw Camera Angles which cool. The STAT Overlays are great. As for the graphics they look good but jaggies are evident. I'm loving the Dunk/Lay-Up packages they've implemented.
So far I really like what I see & there's definitely a difference in a lot of areas compared to 2k8...
Good Job VC

Re: NBA 2K9 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3 Only For Now)
stupid question. but in past 2k games, when you held turbo and wanted to use the shot stick, you could go in any direction for a specific dunk style. is that still relevant with 2k9? ie, turbo plus UP on the shot stock was a basic dunk, turbo plus DOWN on the shotstick was reverse, turbo plus LEFT was a style dunk, turbo plus RIGHT was a power dunk.Comment

I guess I'm too hung up on college hoops. How do you isomotion? Any insight here?
The Celtics just had a two on two break against me, and Ray cut to the elbow, spun off his defender and drained the jumper. All in one smooth motion. It looked incredible. He was hitting everything last game, had 10 of their 12 points lol.Comment
