its a bit tougher but try making more decisive moves with the aggressor instead of the normal herky jerkey with the stick.

Kobe just pump faked on the perimeter and drew me (R. Allen) into a foul. So the CPU will use that trick too.


Also there's this really cool shot they sometimes do for free throws that's the basic view, but more zoomed out so you can see into the upper decks of the Garden. I imagine on an HDTV that looks fantastic.

NOT TRUE. I took a backwards-leaning shot from the left of the basket, which both Kobe and Bynum swatted away from Perkins. He was standing right under the hoop, then with a flick of the shot stick he rotated and jumped backward, holding the ball out over his head in the middle of the court. That was the only time I kind of got angry with this Demo so far.

Hmmm. From the time I've played, every shot directly under the basket has either been that new one-handed layup animation off the backboard or the two handed slight backwards leaning shot I think you speak of. That backhanded shot is fine its not as exaggerated as in the past IMO.

Just play about 10 games (1 qtr a piece)...overall..seems like the same with little adjustments...saw some cool new animations..but I am leaning more towards Live and haven't said that for a while...2K just seems boring to me....

I know I am in the minority and believe me I never like next gen Live....I just hope the dynasty and other features make this a must have...

one thing that confused me was when I was downloading the demo, I notice Live had a 19.99 add on for the updated DNA stuff...Is that right? I can't believe I would need to pay $80 bucks to get the full benefit of Live...

u should try reading if you buy the game theres a code in the book that unlocks it free. its says it right in the profile of the download.

The game is great on the PS3, gameplay and graphics are amazing. I don't know what's wrong with some people HDTV's but if they turn down there sharpness, which should be set low on a HDTV and put the PS3 in 1080P mode for NBA 2K9 demo, the game looks great. It looks good in 720P but try it in 1080P. I remember the 2K7 and 2K8 demo's not looking as good as the final version, so I know Tuesday when I get the real game I will be even more impressed.

I dunno man, the only jaggies I saw were in the menus and someone posted to turn down the sharpness. So I did and now I don't see any. My HD set is top of the line tho.
Try pausing the game, going to choose sides, let the cpu play itself and make some adjustments to your set. I did, and this game is absolutely, positively georgeous. I'll still d/l it on my daughter's 360 tho, just to see which is better.

this is my experience as well. great looking game. if the 360 version does look better, oh my! It took me like 5 minutes to go from, this looks ok, kinda drab. to whoa, this is the game that have been getting praised for it's graphical update.

this is why you are in the minority. Live is going to jerk you as always and you will come back to 2k. not trying to bash you but i played 2k and live already so you will see. trust me and thats the truth

I heard that also but is it only for the ps3? cause it wont make any sence of xbox live sence we already pay $50 bucks for the service then to drop $60 on the game and then an extra $20??. Dam doesnt ea know how bad the ecomany is right now???

2k8 is very, very better. I dont think so is because a demo. If camera zoom in textures looks fine....

2ksports fail if full game show this poor textures.

I have the full version for the 360 and it still has the same sound problem it has last year where i get no bass with hdmi and this is pissing me off. Is it my reciever or something wtf i only have this problem with 2k basketball.

One thing that is becoming a concern to me is the lack of responsiveness of the shotstick in a catch-n-shoot situation. It's awesome to see Ray Ray come off all these screens but so far I can't get him to catch and shoot all in one smooth motion. He always has to set himself and by then Kobe has recovered. Sometimes I have to use the shot stick twice, it's as if Ray is stuck in an animation during my first attempt at shooting. It's as if he has to go from "running off a screen animation" to "neutral" to "shooting" after I press the shot stick. Not good.

Ehh, if you're not doing this already, I would suggest you use Icon passing for players coming off screens. Also, use the shoot button as oppose to the shot stick. I only use the shot stick for layups and dunks.

Ray Allen's release is a little too slow for my liking, should be a bit quicker.
