Re: NBA 2K9 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3 Only For Now)
what a suprize, another multi-platform game looking and playing best on 360. One day ps3 owners will figure it outFor all those complaining about the graphics... are you on an HDTV?? Maybe your settings are not right???

Like I said earlier, the game looks rough. If you were able to see the 360 version you'd see the difference. It's not slight. It's noticeable.
Anyways, glad you guys are enjoying it.The #1 Fight Night CAB Maker. See my creations at:

Re: NBA 2K9 Demo Available, Post Impressions Here (PS3 Only For Now)
1 qtr but there is a rematch feature at the end of it so you can keep cycling.
I don't know why they make these demos so bare bones. It's not as if bball fans are going to be content with one exhibition game, regardless of how many features there are. If they had their thinking caps on, they'd have made it multiplayer. Imagine having 1 qtr of multiplayer fun and then going to the demo screen?
People would be so hooked they'd have to buy it. Has Nino Brown taught us nothing?Comment

How do you actually use the lockdown? I know that you can switch between shading left/right, and loose/normal/tight with the right stick, but then do you have to hold the L2 button all the time? Or if you set the lockdown to tight and then release the L2 you will still be guarding him tight?
Sorry, didn't play 2k8.
Hold down L2, and then move the right stick to switch between the different quadrants represented by the lockdown icon. You do need to keep it held down though. Plus, you can only reach in lockdown mode when you are playing the opponent close.Comment

Understand...but don't get me twisted..2K has way better animations in my opinion and the little interactions are great..it just seems like its a little boring..I'm still playing, having only one quarter does do the game justust..so I'll buy try and see if its what I think it should be...I am a 2K fan first, but just like the fact the EA at least stepped it up this year..Work Hard...Pay Bills...Work Hard...Pay BillsComment

Damn. I was winning 20-6. Kobe gets a breakaway, Ray Ray is 0-6... Kobe goes in for the uncontested layup, and Ray Ray absolutely slaughters him.. takes off his head... haha.
And just stands there over a crumpled Kobe on the floor, glaring, til Odom comes helps him up.. then Ray holds his hand up like "Yeah.. I may have got him a little"... lolTwitter - WTF_OS

I like the demo, gameplay is nice! But a complete bore with no commentary. And the fact they didn't break it up into two Quarters so we could see that highlight thing at the end is weak.
Overall its nice, the graphics are choppy though, pixel city. Only looks good on close ups and even then the jaggies are in the house.
Video coming soon.Comment

did anyone called an "instant" pick and pop/not roll?Comment

The isomotion is weird. Like when I set up it seems like I can't do alot of the things I used to be able to do. Does anyone feel the same way?
It might be because I'm too used to 2k8's isomotion or it may be because of not being used to the PS3 controller. I need the real game to make sure.GT: yao ming soulja

Post Moves.
While in the post - Push the Right Stick (Shot Stick) in a differnt direction (up,down, left, right) for a differnt post move.
While in the post -Push the left stick away from the defender or left/right along with the shot stick in the same direction to peform a post jump shot/fade away.
Press (triangle) on ps3 Combine the drop step and drop step spin with the shot stick(left, right,up,down) for different variations. (Pro Hop) or whatever you like to call it.
Different players will have different post moves...Shaq vs Yao or KG vs Duncan.Comment
