I think it's a follow through I guess. In 2K8, when doing a crossover I'd hold R2 and just flick the stick and used to let it go and let the animation play out and then press the stick again. Now I keep holding the stick in the direction I crossed in and everything smoothed out.
The biggest thing just now though was using it out of the triple threat position which I couldn't do at all the first 20 games or so I played. L2 & R2 to jab step with Kobe, Ray would step back then get right back up in my grill and I'd just hold R2 and flick to the stick to the left or the right and then hold it at the basket (so usually diagonally up).
I also stopped playing NBA2K8 pretty early last year as I was obsessed with CHoops which had face-button iso moves so I def need to readjust. Maybe this is how things worked all along in 2K8, I just couldn't remember, hehe.


Yeah, a Kobe windmill from outside the paint is pretty commonplace. I have one captured. Just have to find a way to upload them. I wish that they had all simple dunks for in traffic... but... they don't, lol.
