NBA 2k10 Wishlist

Is it too early for this thread? The game is out and I am sure there are things that people want to see in 2k10. For me, I would love to see custom soundtracks. Just like they used in NFL 2k5 and College Hoops 2k6. Give me these options to add soundtracks in game:

Home Team Bringing ball up court after miss
Home Team Bringing ball up court after make
Away Team Bringing ball up court after miss
Away Team Bringing ball up court after make
End of Quarter
End of Game
Game Intro
Timeout
3 point FG made (Player specific?)
FG Made (Player specific?)
FT Made

Also, please get rid of Clark Kellogg. I'm guessing that 2k used him because he was still under contract from the College Hoops game and they had to use him, but he is awful. Is Doug Collings available at all? If not, get anybody else because he is one of the worst parts of the game. Stellar presentation, but he drags it down a bit. Add more commentary in general. The one area where Live kills 2k more than anything is the commentary. Kerr/Albert give you the impression you are watching a telecast. Harlan is okay but it doesn't seem like Kellogg and him are in the same booth. Please try to fix this if possible.

My 2k10 wishlist includes TT/VC doing away with release dates. Once the game hits stores, have store owners sell it.

Good post OP. I thought that we were going to get Arena Music this year, but I was wrong. Hopefully we can get it next year

after playing 30 or so games on 2k9...I really want more options on the coaching level. Before the game starts you can tell ur players to

-force this player to beat us,
-dont switch on the pick
-make them beat us from the outside

Basketball isnt all about skill , its bout having a good scheme to hide your weaknesses

1. Have the ability to select WHO (not position but PLAYER(s)) to take the ball out during the game. This will help out during late game situations

2. Retired Jerseys numbers that cannot be used, hang them from the rafters even like real life. http://www.insidehoops.com/nba-retired-numbers.shtml

3. Whenever the user recieves a new instrument to make the player better (Training camps, practice, etc.) the cpu never uses it themselves, they never use a weight gain on a Durant or Big Man Offense Camp on Oden. I would like the playing field to be equal instead of a leg-up on the cpu.

4. The ability to set the controller's controls anyway I see fit, instead of pre-conceived setups. ( for the folks that complain about controls )

5. Improve All-Star Lineup & the All-NBA first team. Should be 2 Guards, 2 Forwards, 1 Center.

6. Edit coaches. Nobody really wants to see generic players/coaches on their games. Give us the ability to replace Doc Rivers with Paul Silas if we choose to.

7. Please get rid of these Team Sliders; Tend to Overdribble, Pass with Flair, Prone to Foul. These attributes are dictated by the player, not the Coach or Team, if Nash or Jason Kidd gets traded, the team will continue to play like that, even though it was that particular player's style.

8. Training camp. Have the option of inviting free agents into your team's camp and have them work for a roster spot.

More interactive Rookie Workout, based on real off-season workouts held by real NBA teams. Rookies and Undrafted's fighting for roster spots in preseason games, while stars play seldomly.

10. Improve the Association Mode by adding to the NBA Draft, it would be great if u incorporate a website like NBADRAFT.Net or DraftExpress with stats for rooks like NFL2K5 did inside 2k9. Instead of fake pics, put their college pics up from CH2K. Also add players walking to the podium or something, a cutscene of the actual draftee holding up his jersey and team press conference. DRAFT DAY TRADES!!!!, user and cpu initiated during those 3:00 rounds. Realistic rookies, every generated center is 6-11 280lbs, pf's are 6-10 270, again too much parity in all the positions. More variability in the Draft scouting reports, make it seem tailored to that player, regardless of positon(s). If a SF plays like Garnett, tell why. If a Point Guard plays like Magic Johnson (notice the use of Hall of Famers in game), I should be able to know why. Is he a combo guard, point forward?

Don't take my word for this, but I think this might be in this year. I seen a picture of the team stats with all-time record or whatever and it had a "Retired Numbers" section with the numbers listed

Yea but can we NOT assign that number to that team is the question. #33 might be retired for the Celtics, but does that mean I can't put a created player with the #33 jersey on that team?

Everything DC has mentioned are small things that cater to the hardcore and that wouldn't look attractive on the back of the game; with the exception of draft day. You can also incorporate that draft day with a career mode. It will be a user generated experience and it should vary from player to player. Look at the career mode of MLB 08 by SCEA - one of the best in the business. Even the competition has career modes now and once their gameplay level steps up I am sure many of us who want a career mode will be more than happy to transfer over.

In NBA LIVE 09, i hate Steve Kerr, after listening to him for a while...i think he's too serious and need to lighten up and makes some jokes or SOMTHIN', this is A VIDEO GAME, say something funny dammit!!

I like this. The ability to game plan specifically would be pretty cool and add to the realism of the game.

Adding to the depth of the Draft is a must IMO. Create-a-draft class or create-a-prospect with the ability to import a real picture of that player would be awesome as well.
