    Patch Released 1.0.1 (PS3)

    Could a Moderater add PS3 to the title please.

    Hey guys just thought i would make this thread to say there has been a patch released for 09. i am on the ps3 and when i went to play earlier it asked me to download the patch.


    I havent played a game yet or been into my online league which was causing my PS3 to freeze before the patch so hopefully the online freeze will be fixed.

    I'll post if i notice any gameplay changes

    I decided to go in my online leagues and look around, when i came out it flashed on the screen that "i have been signed out off the PSN" then within a second bang it froze my PS3. i was hoping that this would be fixed but looks like it hasnt.

      Can't wait to download it later today. I hope they made some changes to BAP Mode. The AI on your team is just stupid.

          Will the patch affect gameplay in an already existing BAP ?

          I started a new BAP season after changing myself to an Offensive D-man (AI is stupid on D), Will it be helped by the patch or will i need to start a new game

              Folks, don't get your hopes on any AI changes. The AI is usually hardcoded and is not usually patched.

                  Downloading ASAP...hope this fixed the flickering and control issues...

                      Wait, how did you get it to notify you of an update? I'm signed into PSN and loaded NHL 09 but there is nothing that says a patch is available...

                          Well i just played a game on Superstar using Catcatch's sliders and regarding the lack of penalties NOTHING has been done, i had 1 Powerplay and the CPU had 5.

                          The Goalies certainly seem to have improved, they dont go down early and i saw none of those desperation saves which were constant before. so i think thats a good thing.

                          as i stated in my first post the freezing is still there. not played BAP yet with it because i dont know if the patch will effect my already saved BAP?.

                              NYR, check your PM please...I've tried playing games, online games, checking the news, etc. and nothing will cause the update to initialize. It's like there is no update for me.

                                  Same for me, I've reloaded the game a few times and it's not redirecting me to DL any sort of patch.

                                      Hopefully not a hoax. I've been waiting for the patch for awhile. This pisses me off.

                                          Double-J, if I remember correctly from the release of the Madden/NCAA patches, they are done regionally so depending on where you are it may take a few hours for it to be on that server. A lot of people were getting those updates, while others said they had nothing. A short time later those who were missing out posted again saying they had it...

                                          I didn't receive anything from the EA CM regarding the release of the patch or its contents. Could someone go over to the EA NHL 09 site to see if they have a producer blog or something about it? It's blocked for me here at work...

                                              Hmm, I'm in Buffalo so I'd assume that those of us in the Northeastern US have not gotten it yet if that's the case. Thanks for the heads up.

                                              The latest from the site is the EA/Easton partnership. That's from the 16th though. Nothing about a patch.

                                                  On the EA boards, nothing regarding the 360 version. Just the PS3...maybe 360 is in another week...

                                                  Ok...Now I think it's just that Obama ad they are placing in the game. Nice...they can place an Obama ad, but not a patch. I'm at work so I can't check, but I hope this isn't the case.
