If you're still experiencing the PIP issue, you should prob reduce their close shot tendency and attack basket a bit more. But personally I haven't been seeing any PIP abuse at all.
I'm seeing a nice balance in the post, where to score you have to use some strategy instead of just running inside and shooting. You actually have to learn some of those moves especially against good shotblockers.
I have some videos I'm prob gon upload tomm with in-depth analysis to explain what I'm seeing, and what I was aiming for with the post game, but my girl is forcing me to go to bed NOW. lol
I'll upload them after work tomm though

uh ohsoemone is pointing out the thing i m worried about the pip, before i even give this a try.... i wonder if pip is just stayed in the game no matter how we adjust the sliders? maybe a patch from 2k will do? hope not tho!

i'll play a couple more games tomorrow...i'm wondering if it was my defense also, since i'm not that great.

i read in another thread to tone down "play passing lanes" to about 20 because that way the defenders stay back and don't give up back doors, which result in more points in paint

but definately give these a shot....they play really well, and the more people try them, the more input and suggestions we will have

don't know if i stated already, but i'm also using Razr/nogster rosters with updated coaching profiles....so i can't say for sure how much of that is affected

Re: 8-10 Min Sim Sliders (Addressing Several CPU Issues)

just played a game with these sliders, i'm using the latest 2K roster.

          Cavs(cpu) @ Celtics(me)

          78 - 70

          fg% 47 - 49

          3pt 2/13 - 3/12

          ft 8/12 - 7/7

          ast 21 - 23

          to 9 - 17

          reb 29 - 25

          stls 15 - 9

          blks 5 - 6

          pip 60 - 38

          bp 2 - 9

          scp 6 - 6

          fbp 17 - 10

          James - 29pts, 2reb, 3ast, 3stls
          Williams - 15pts, 4reb, 10ast, 6stls, 2blks, POTG
          Z - 9pts, 10reb

          KG - 23pts, 3reb, 3ast
          Pierce - 17pts, 5ast, 5stls
          Perkins - 7pts, 10reb

so this being the first game i've played with these sliders, it was more like a test game to get the feel of how the game plays now. i was going to play another game after and post the stats from that one instead, since i now know generally how the game plays, but i didn't have the time, so i'm just going to post these anyway.

i'm going to play some more games and see how they turn out, since i now know generally how the game plays with these sliders, hopefully the to's and steals will be down more in the next games.

the reason why the cavs had 60 pip in my game was due to the steals and turnovers that all pretty much ended up being a layup/dunk in the other end. i'm going to try and get in one or two more games later tonight, and the steals, turnovers and pip should turn out being lower.

i wasn't use to having to be careful with my passing, you really got to make sure your man has good position and that the defender is not all up in his face before you pass or else there is a very good chance of the ball being stolen or deflected.

yea, i had the same problem first time out...."video game passing" doesn't work any more, you really have to be careful of where you are passing and make that extra pass to get the better angle etc.

also, i suggest turn down "play passing" lanes to 25....seems to turn down the back door cuts and decreases PiP

Re: 8-10 Min Sim Sliders (Addressing Several CPU Issues)

I'm glad you guys are seeing some improvement with these. I saw someone post about turning down the passing lanes slider, so your players don't overplay the lanes and get beat backdoor. When I get released from my girl's house (lol) and go home, I'll try that. But I'm really enjoying having to watch my passes, and not seeing the "video game passing" someone just mentioned.
But yeah, like pbz said, at first I was turning it over like it was my job, lol.
As someone requested I'll post these to 2Kshare when I get back home, or anyone can feel free to upload them (a li'l "works cited" footnote would be nice lol) if you want.... I'm still determined to get the realest thing possible, forcing you (and the CPU) to play like real life, so I'm definitely willing to experiment more.

Yeah, someone posted about the PIP being reduced when you keep your own TO's low. That's true. I haven't seen much PIP because once I got used to being logical with my passes, minimizing their steals, minimizing their transition buckets and forcing them to play halfcourt as much as possible, the PIP problem went away.
That's not to say that KG or Amare (wow Amare really got AT ME) didn't do their thing, but if you make the computer get their shots from their offensive sets it will minimize the abuse.
I played practice mode for hours and hours, some 5-on-5, some 2-on 2 post game, some running plays in the half court, with the "best vs avg vs scrub" test, and it translated great into the game....(one annoying thing in practice is every time you change the tutorial type, for some reason the game defaults back to Pro and 50 game speed, and you have to change it every time you change tutorial type...wtf)
The Globetrotter-esque nonsense by the CPU coming upcourt is the one nagging issue I feel needs to still be addressed. Back to the lab it is...

Is there a way to tone that down or eliminate? It's so annoying when I see an Udrich or something try to act like a harlem globetrotter...it seems like the CPU can't even dribble it up the court without constant behind the backs, between the legs, random crossovers etc. Or when they hold it at the top of the key, they just pull out their entire arsenal with shake n bakes and jukes and crazy dribbles.....just been a pet peave of mine and makes it unrealistic in most cases, especially when i'm not pressuring.
It may be a bit of a slider issue. It bugged me also but the OP hit it pretty well..... however - according to 2k's discussion of what sliders do what thing.....'sizeup' directly affects "fancy idle dribbing" for the cpu........tune this down and it goes bye-bye.

this slider is very good. and a little harder than others for us after 5 years NBA Live experience as pc users
