Why would you want to give up your best perimeter defender and a #1 for another shooter when you have Parker and Kapono? Like someone else said you're giving up way too much. I don't like this deal if I'm the Raptors - at all.

would you say this trade isa good or not? any other suggestion for a young SG. i have wright, but he is not doing so well. and green cant hit a perimeter shot at the moment.
NOT - Look...In no way would a young developing team like Memphis want to give away their future for a vet - especially one like Jason Terry - who doesn't really give them anything they don't already have or can develop.

OJ should stay put in Memphis.

You didn't have to quit your team and do all of that. In fact I would've advised against it, since if you're playing w/ Team Chemistry on doing this throws everything out of whack.

All you needed to do was a 3 team trade, including your team, and swapping 2nd rounders w/ one of the teams.

I did the 3-team trade, but traded Willie Green to Denver for Chucky Atkins and Detroit's 2009 2nd rd pick.

In my assoc. I'm using the 'Big 3' rosters so I had Cheick Samb included from Detroit, and Denver had enough players signed to 1 yr deals to send back to Detroit to allow the trade to go thru (Smush Parker and Chris Anderson).

You would've also needed to edit Iverson's & McD's contracts; Iverson's going down and McD's going up. I made them according to what ESPN stated their 2009 salary to be, and the deals went thru w/ no problem.

Man that is a great idea. I have been trying to figure out how to get this deal into my association without starting all over. I am going to try this as soon as I get home as the Thunder.

Switching from team to team via resigning as the GM can make you team chemistry take a hit. Why go from position to position everytime you need/want to make a trade anyway.

If its important to you to make the Iverson deal happen, or a similar one just do a 3 team trade and swap 2nd rd picks w/ one of the teams involved.

So for my Bulls Association, I will not trade for Mayo for the sake of realism. I would like to see Memphis grow into a good team. Instead I will probably do a lower tier trade for JR Giddens. He is no Mayo, but I can develop him into a good player. Plus I might change Giddens' sig shot to Mayo's because I really like his because it's so fluid and really hard to block I noticed.

Re: Official - Is This Trade GOOD? Thread

I'm playing as the Miami Heat and a lot of times at the start of franchises i like to make one deal just to get a little variation to this particular franchise. So I decided that I was gonna trade Marion since it wouldn't be that easy to retain him anyways after this year.

              Miami Heat Trade
              Shawn Marion
              Marcus Banks

              New York Knicks Trade
              Danilo Gallinari
              Stephon Marbury
              David Lee

I promptly waived Marbury after the trade to continue starting Chalmers at point. I didn't want to bring in a cancer like Marbury to a pretty young team. I guess the Knicks wouldn't technically do this in real life right now since they just drafted Gallinari(and he is untapped potential), but I know they would love to rid themselves of Marbury while still having the ability to rid themselves of salary(Marion's expiring deal), or even re-sign him if they decide to. Throwing in Banks on my part was to get rid of his ugly as contract while evening things up money wise.

And David Lee is my prized piece. I don't have Zo on my roster cause I doubt he plays this year so having a good big man to go along with Haslem/Blount(while I still have his crappy contract)/Magliore is great. I expect to put Haslem and Lee on the floor together a lot and move the ball up the floor a little quicker with Wade/Chalmers/Beasley/Gallinari/Jones.

I dont see this trade happening in real life. Marbury can easily be released by the knicks making a trade practically useless. They just drafted Gallinari so there is no reason to trade him when they wont be competing anytime soon. David Lee is arguably one of their top players plus he is young. Also Marion has a one year contract and its unlikely he would resign with the Knicks. Basically, the knicks give up Gallinari and Lee for Marcus Banks. Not a great trade for the Knicks at all. If I had the choice to do this in 2k9 then i would do it, just not in real life.

Regardless, wouldn't any trade effect team chemistry? It's done. I'll let you know if it affects the other teams.

I'm currently playin with ma Nets Assoc.

Brook Lopez just got injured and is out for 4-6 weeks and Boone has been discouraged with his minutes even though i give him a good amount. So i put eventually got this offer and accepted it:

                    Detroit gets:
                    Boone
                    09 2nd round pick

                    Nets get:
                    Rodney Stuckey

Bobby Simmons has also been discouraged even after i raised his minutes. Eduardo Najera hasn't been playing too good for me so i made this trade:

                    Thunder get:
                    Simmons
                    Najera

                    Nets get:
                    Wilcox
                    Desmond Mason

                    This makes my rotation:
                    Pg-Devin Harris/Keyon Dooling/Rodney Stuckey
                    Sg-Vince Carter/CDR/Stuckey
                    SF-Thaddeus Young/Desmond Mason
                    PF-Yi Jianlian/Ryan Anderson
                    C-Wilcox/Brook Lopez(injured)/Sean Williams

I keep Keyon Dooling as back up because he's really enjoying playing with this team and i don't want to lower his minutes by much. But once Lopez gets back, Anderson and/or Mason might get a couple less minutes.

I'm doing a Bucks franchise and I'm looking to free up space. I suck with Richard Jefferson so I'm looking at trading him, do you think this trade is realistic?

I am Bulls Association and am not happy with any of my 2 guards.

Gordon-too short, can't play defense. Yes he can score, that's about it
Hinrich-can do everything good, nothing great. Lack of Size
Sefolosha-Good size, decent prospect. Just not that into him
Hughes-His contract kills him. Enough said.

I am thinking of trading for Nick Young.

Sefolosha and a future 1st Rounder for Nick Young straight up.

Pretty simple deal. Fair or no? Realistic or no?

I don't see this happening. Redd is the heart and soul of the Bucks and he won't get traded. I'm sorry to tell you that you chose a bad team to try and free cap space...

                              --------------------------------------------------------------

In my OKC association, I'm deep into the fourth season woth a stellar team, (Westbrook 86, Durant 95, James 99, Boozer 91 and a 3rd year regen rated 87), the thing is Booz isn't giving me the kind of results I expected, I grabbed him in the first offseason, and put decent numbers (17 PPG and 8 RPG in almost 40 MPG, nothing great...), but since he has decreased his numbers year after year (specially after I grabbed James in the 2010 FA market). Besides he's a lockeroom cancer (only player with low morale) and demands more minutes (he averages 38 MPG, and I've got him in 45 in rotation)
In the other hand Amar'e Stoudemire was traded before his option to the Hawks and he opted out, becoming a FA last offseason, he signed for the Knicks (4 years long), and he's really upset, they have him restricted to less than 30 MPG and he wants to play more.

This has me thinking of pulling a trade for him, in the offseason, before the draft. Booz has still 3 years left in his contract. I have 3 first round picks (1 acquired last year and 1 from a decent trade), 1 is sure lottery. I'm thinking Boozer + 1st rd. pick (not lottery) for Amare. The salaries add up, and they might say yes (Amare is fed up, like -8 to his rating), if not I can try for the lottery pick.

                              What do you guys think??

                                Houston gets:
                                Kirk Hinrich

                                Chicago gets:
                                Rafer Alston
                                Steve Francis
                                Von Wafer

I'm playing as Houston and Chicago decided to put Kirk Hinrich on the block ahead of Ben Gordon and Larry Hughes.

I've started 7-0 and have beaten the Celtics, Lakers, Blazers and Mavs in this run. Hinrich ais currently a shooting guard but I'd edit that to make him a point guard as his primary position.

But I checked the ratings and Rafer has a better 3 point shooting rating and his ball handling rating is 99 while Kirk Hinrich's ball handling rating is only 89. Rafer is quicker and the passing rating in the same.

Rafer is also shooting 53% from downtown while Hinrich is shooting 47% from downtown.

I know it looks an unfair trade in real life but I'm questioning doing it as I think Rafer is playing well with Tmac, Artest and Yao in the team. I have no worries about losing Francis and Wafer as Brooks and Head are ahead of them in the rotation.

Should I do the trade or keep Rafer around?
