Agreed.

There is quite a bit that they need to work on and tweak for next year, but the game is fun and the game is solid. They really need to focus on more little things in my opinion and they need to provide more options to the user when editing.

the one thing that I enjoy is that I can play 20 minute halves and have realistic scores and such.

These are the kind of things that I am looking for. I can't stand people asking is such n such #4, can you check such n such rating, etc...

I understand that people are still not sure if they are picking this up but, it's really annoying to search each and every post to see if someone is asking a stupid question or if someone that has the game is giving their thoughts.

is it simulation or arcadey? i don't really care about "fun" - i play sports games because they play (statistically) realistic. thanks!

well i just finished my first game...

I played 10 min halfs, Difficulty on All American, and I played as Syracuse vs Gtown at the Carrier dome. Here are some impressions:

The Bad
-Seemed to easy, i won 47-25, maybe the hardest difficulty will be a little more realistic.
-Not enough fouls, i think Syracuse and Gtown combined with about 4 fouls all together.
- My FG% was like 79%- WAY WAY WAY to high
- Generic looking coaches on the sideline( hopefully this can be edited)
- Warm up the bus chant is headache inducing

The Good
- I love the flow of the game, This is as close of to real College BBall as it gets
- Fast Breaks are done beautifully, they dont happen all the time but they are not all that rare
- I love the Tempo Gimmick, it works really well
- Crowds sound awesome
- sloppy passes will get picked off
- Defense is actually fun to play( Syracuse runs a beautiful 2-3 zone!)
- The Carrier dome looks great ( Except the Carrier dome got rid of the blue divider)
- Player models look great
- player animations look great


Overall i think this has the potential to be a very good game once the sliders come out and hopefully a patch to fix some of the little problems ( please EA, tone down the bus Chant!). Hopefully the fouls will be able to be fixed with sliders but overall i am impressed with this...

That's great to hear. Have you had a chance to play any online games? If so, how does it play? Any lag, glitching, etc...

Also, how is the rivalry feature for online as far as finding someone to play with?

This game is def not perfect. But it really is a ton of fun. Just took the Campbell Fightin Camels into OT against Jacksonville and won on a last second 3. The Carter was rockin.

Boooooo! Hey can you tell me how Jacksonville played? How was their PG (Ben Smith # 3), he should be the top player on their team....how did he fair against the Fightin Camels? Their PF # 31 Lemon Colbert should have been good for them as well? Did these two score majority of the points for JU?

the rivalry feature is sweet you press L3 and it brings up a map of all the guys online playing with your rivals .. plus there is also this flag waving telling you when a rival is on. i played 1 half with a friend who was on his lunch break no lag what so ever and this is the Ps3 version.

edit: i just notice you can also scroll through guys playing with the top 25, playing with teams in your conference (my case Big East), and Same team

how is the low post and transition defense?
These were two areas that live 09 did horribly

the rivalry feature is sweet you press L3 and it brings up a map of all the guys online playing with your rivals .. plus there is also this flag waving telling you when a rival is on. i played 1 half with a friend who was on his lunch break no lag what so ever and this is the Ps3 version.

I don't remember the point guard. The power forward however was giving me fits in the post. He had a lot of rebounds thats for sure.

How's the atmopshere in this game. One thing that pissed me off in the demo was the home crowd doing to OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH chant while their hometeam was on offense. You dont do that chant when your team has the ball! EA got it right with NCAA football 09 but not in NCAA Basketball? WTF?

Aside from that, are there a lot of team specific chants, fight songs?

Fight songs and chants for NC State are correct. Correct student section placement, albeit a generic arena. The crowd can get pretty loud at times and the ooooooh chant happend a few times I was on offense but seemed to be random.

sorry guys, I don't play online.

Now as far as the rivalry feature, its nice. If its turned on, you'll get an icon whenever someone is online that plays as your rival school. Nice addition.
