How's Your 'Become A Legend' Mode Going?

Figured we could just share what's going on in our future legends careers. Name, physical stats, current club, stats, anything you care to share. I'm going to post my players info here in a bit, but I figured it would be good to see how others are doing and share experiences.

By the way, I love this mode. Such a fresh take on the game.

    Name: Samuel
    Position: CF
    Current Age: 17
    Nationality: United States
    Height: 175
    Weight: 69
    Stronger Foot: R
    Injury: A

I'm currently playing for Bologna FC in Serie A. I'm about to play in my third training match, I scored a goal in each of the first two matches. I'm more excited to get a national team call up at this point over moving onto a bigger club.

I haven't tried the mode out yet but I'll probably test it out tomorrow. I usually don't care for modes like this, but I think I might give it a whirl and post my players info.

I think it's a bit better than Be A Pro on FIFA. I wish Be A Pro was more like the NHL BAP, but whatever.

So far the BAL is pretty fun I think...and they allow you to have a long career rather than a 4 year one...seriously EA...WTH is with that?

So far so good. I was signed by newcastle, im a AMF but they signed me as a CM. Was on the bench by the third game, came in had an assist, sat the next game vs liverpool, i had a purple arrow all the way down so coach didn't decide to use me. Next game, D1 cup, was on the bench but came in at the begining of the second half, scored and had an assist. started the next game and had a great game, 2 assists and 2 goals. I think what really helped was that I had a red arrow and that makes all your stats go up by 3. so i heard. Can't wait for my next game.

        PEACE!

nice guys- goz, congrats on starting.Organ - what is your injury rating? (A B C?) my thinking is that being in the Serie A - you are going to face some pretty hard tackles - eitherway, scoring over 10 goals in a season will be impressive.

          As for me -

          http://www.operationsports.com/forum...es-2009-a.html

still working on shots on target - but becoming more of a starter this season, I have been addicted to this mode since I tried it - really great stuff.

Wow guys I just gave this mode a whirl today, what can I say i love it! I can't stop playing this mode. I never thought I would give this mode the time of the day. So far I made my guy to try and resemble me and I am playing on 20 mins. and Top Player.

            Name: Rammel
            Position: WF
            Current Age: 17
            Nationality: Canada
            Height: 183
            Weight: 73
            Stronger Foot: R
            Injury: B

I am playing in the Eredivisie and I signed with Sparta Rotterdam. So far I have yet to crack the bench in about 5 games (I suck I guess lol) Sparta Rotterdam has yet to win a game we have lost everyone and on scored 2 goals and conceded 12! Hopefully I can make the bench soon because this team needs some help.

I have yet to score a goal in this mode yet but I have come so close but I set up a couple of nice goals. Although I am a WF they play me on the LM a lot . Even though I am enjoying my current BAL, I think i might start over and try myself at the Supporting Striker role, but I just love to play the wings and dash up field, it is really exciting.

Re: How's Your 'Become A Legend' Mode Going?

I restarted my BAL over, my guy has the same profile except the only difference is he is a Supporting Striker. Right now I'm in Ligue 1 Orange with Stade Malherbe Caen. It has really been up and down with me and the team because it took me a while to crack into the team (about 8 games). When I first got into the team, I got injured the second game by crazy Taiwo on Marseille and didn't even log 3 minutes in. After the game the coach dropped me from the bench into the reserves and I again had to work my way back into bench.

Now about 10 games into the second half of the season Im in a pretty standard rotation with the team, although we stink. I start a lot of matches except against good teams, and they let me start in the European Masters Cup (UEFA Cup) since my team got dusted in the European Championship and the League Cup.

My teams record with SM Caen is 6-7-14 with a Goal difference of 23 we are currently ranked 19th in the league and conceded the most goals in the league, its pretty sad. My guy so far has played 19 matches, and has scored 5 leagues goals but has 7 total from all competition and two assist.

I haven't decided if I was going to leave the team buy the end of the season but if we finish in the bottom three I might have to consider it. Overall, I am having a lot of fun with this mode, I post more about what happens if anyone cares, see ya.

I definitely care, bud - 7 goals in 19 games is an excellent start and is really going to attract some nice offers. Btw, the best part of the game to me is the transfer process - the offers you receive are so cool - and the teams from different leagues really makes the process wide open. I love that feeling!

Good luck rest of the season - keep us posted.

The career of Michelino Lugano started today. After 1 match the 17 year old 170lb/68 Left footed AMF signed his first pro contract with Genoa CFC.

At this point in his career he has yet to be called to the top club, because of his inconsistent play in the intra-squad matches.

Lugano dreams to become a player with his favorite team as a child, AC Milan. He would like to win a Serie A Scudetto and Champions League final. The ultimate would be to represent the Azzuri in the World Cup.

Re: How's Your 'Become A Legend' Mode Going?

Genoa Cricket and Football Club, commonly referred to as simply Genoa or the abbreviation Genoa CFC, is a professional football club based in the city of Genoa, Italy. Although the athletics and cricket club was founded in 1893 by Englishmen;[3] the footballing section of the club was opened in 1897 by James Richardson Spensley making it the oldest of its kind still active in Italy.[4]
During their long history, Genoa have won the Italian Football Championship nine times; the first of which was 1898 during the competition's inaugural season, the last time Genoa won the league was in 1923–24. It also won the Coppa Italia once. Historically, Genoa is the tenth most successful club in Italian football,[5] however they are the fourth most successful in terms of championships won.[6]
The club has played its home games at the 36,536 capacity Stadio Luigi Ferraris[7] since 1911. Since 1946, the ground has been shared with local rivals Sampdoria. Genoa has often bounced between the top two divisions of Italian football; Serie A and Serie B since the 1960s. After a recent promotion, Genoa now plays again in Serie A for the first time since 1995.

Re: How's Your 'Become A Legend' Mode Going?

So just finished my season and SM Caen finish 9-9-20 in dead last in Ligue 1. I logged 30 games scored 13 goals and 5 assist, I played at CF and Right WF a lot even though I'm an SS. But, I really don't care about scoring goals because my team ended the season with an ugly 4 game losing streak. I watched too many teams beat down on or our poor defense as we gave up 92 goals. So I might transfer if I get good offers, I want to stay in the Ligue 1 but we will see what happen.

I decided to transfer to OGC Nice, they finished 7th in the league just missing out of the Masters Cup. They are a pretty good team, so I wanted the challenge to see if I could get into their bench. I wanted to stay on SM Caen but they made no intentions to sign a Defender, but instead they sign another Striker, so that made me want to leave.

Interesting thing I noticed was that England did not make the world cup qualifiers! France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Czech, Spain, Croatia, and some othr good Euro countries made it but this shocked me, also I noticed Ireland and Denmark made it. Canada made it, but they are grouped with Portugal, Greece, and South Korea so I don't see them make it out of their group. Also USA is grouped with Spain, Turkey, and Cameroon, so it will be even harder for them to place well in their group too.

I wasn't even going to touch this mode, but that video of Lam Matteo got me interested (the different hairstyles were a nice touch...Beckhamish almost). I have now started the career of the one named wonder called "kerowack" and signed to Sunderland (was going to sign with Man City, but didn't know if I would play much).

I REALLY enjoyed that trial game and actually scored a goal on my BAL restart. Funny, each time I rated a 6.5.

I scanned my face too and from a distance it really looks like me. Up close it's "THIS" close to being me, but the nose isn't right because you can't screw with it like you could in those Tiger Woods games...
The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!

I never thought I would play this mode and now I can't get enough of it. Very addicting. I'm in Week 25 of Season 1 and still have not made the starting lineup.

I was called to the A Team in the Intra-Squad match but nothing after that. My highest skill level is 79 for Speed and 75 for Dribble speed. Everything else is in the 60's. You can really tell that my player is young with poor ratings. I get pushed around all over the pitch.

In the winter transfer period I received offers from Torino, Catania, and Chievo and declined all of them. I am faithful to Genoa at this point even though we are looking at relegation(18th).

I've also decided that I won't play any other match types in PES until I make the first team starting line up. It's rough paying training game after training game. No crowd, no atmosphere, etc. When I do get the call, it's going to be great.

                            Stay tuned....

Wow, its taking you a while to crack into the line up, must be some tough competition at your position. Thats cool though, because now at my new club they are not giving the time or day to get into the line up. But keep at man, when you finally get into a real match you will be pumped, I know i do every time I see my guy warm up on the touchline waiting to come in. Also you know what I do to make those training matches less boring, I just hook up my ipod to my 360 and play some music, I have a specific playlist just for PES 09.
