Jab_Step: The Big Three that kill this game

    A) Why the heck can't we share sliders/settings like Live? So annoying;
    B) We have to be on a friends' list to get named rosters. So stupid;
    C) Why the heck is the free throw camera so far away from the meter? In Live, I can see the free throw meter. In NCAA, I need a damned magnifying glass.

People are having a hard time seeing the FT meter? What size TV do you have? I have no problems with it whatsoever.

44" HDTV. It's just so far away compared to NBA Live.

I only played the Live demo but I thought it was the same in NCAA. Dunno, I can see all the individual bars and everything on top of the backboard in NCAA. I almost wish it was smaller so FT's would be more difficult.

          hmmm...

for me, I would actually say:

          - not being able to pull up the quick sub screen during freethrows
          - not being able to view my players fatigue and foul trouble in the quick sub screen
          - CPU names not under the the player when they have the ball

......would these three things be difficult to include in a patch? I don't own Live 09...are these issues in Live?

I know there are more important things, but these 3 to me seem like easy fixes...don't u think?

Re: Jab_Step: The Big Three that kill this game

            My Big Three:

            1) Lackluster sim engine in Dynasty mode.

            2) Herky-jerky shooting animations/foul animations.

            3) Lack of some sliders, attributes and tendencies.

FTs aren't any issue for me visually.

Overall, a fun game, but a couple of things are holding it back from being a really fun and immersive game.

              my three are:
              1) when on a fast break the defender can just stop you in your path.
2)when passing the ball in on a fast break the your player doesn't continue to run when he catches the ball instead he stops.
              3) the trapping on defense

A.) Is it that hard to manually enter slider settings posted on OS forums? How is that a game "killer"?

B.) Is it that hard to befriend someone on the OS forums to get the rosters from? Would you like to add me, my GT on 360 is Bumble14. I will give you the rosters.

C.) The camera is farther back than Live, but I like it- it's more challenging. Hardly a game killer.

1.) It would be more convenient, but not a game killer. I don't think you could do that in CH2K8 either. Just call a timeout- I doubt anyone uses them anyways.

2.) You do realize you can view a players fatigue in game- ever notice that little green bar underneath your player?

3.) Why do you need to know CPU names under players? How does this effect gameplay.

1.) I've not encountered this. Try crossing the defender over to get spacing. It's actually easier to fast break in this game than any other basketball game I've played in a while.

2.) Again, I am able to fast break. This is not a game killer- try leading your player with icon passing.

3.) The trapping defense is a game killer? So teams are not allowed to trap? Ever watch a college basketball game in real life? Traps in this game are great- the cpu makes you feel just like a real life team must feel when trapped. Try icon passing to an open man.

I have the rosters and a friends' list of around 90 ... that isn't the issue.

"Kill" may have been too strong a word.

Yes, inputting sliders without numerical values is a serious, serious pain in the (word violates OS TOS).

Re: Jab_Step: The Big Three that kill this game

These things definitely need to be addressed for 2010 and they would make this game unstopable and more realiistic.

                      1 black socks
                      2 Better models
3 Better faces, darker color hair, longer hair, ponytails, longer dreadlocks
4 knee pads. Long right and left sleeves and tattoos
5 user multi teams for the season
                      6 Closer zoom cameras
7 More real last names in the database for announcing
8 Being able to edit the year of the player
                      9 Real life coaches faces

                      Thanks

You shouldn't have to though. Why have "quick subs" if you can't access them in all dead ball situations?

because its hard to identify the opposing teams best player, which in turn effects gameplay due to the fact that I may not double team him when I meant to. Think about it, defenses IRL are able to identify shooters/star players on the opposing team all the time, so why shouldn't the user of a video game?

Sorry but players not continuing to the basket on a fast break or alley oop is an issue. No it doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be quite annoying.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

1.) It would be more convenient, but not a game killer. I don't think you could do that in CH2K8 either. Just call a timeout- I doubt anyone uses them anyways. --- Never said it was a game killer...I love this game! It's just very difficult to make a sub while on defense or offense....and yes, I made subs during freethrows all the time in CH.

2.) You do realize you can view a players fatigue in game- ever notice that little green bar underneath your player? --- Yes, I know that is fatigue...i was talking more about being able to view the fatigue of guys u sent to the bench because they were tired...sometimes I'd like to check to see if they are rested and ready to come back in without having to call a TO. Again, no big deal, I guess I am just so used to being able to do all this stuff in CH for years.

3.) Why do you need to know CPU names under players? How does this effect gameplay. It doesn't affect gameplay. It would just be easier for me to tell who's lighting me up. Luckily I know who's who out there for the most part because I follow college basketball...but sometimes when someone comes in for the CPU off the bench, I have to check and see who's in the game so I know how to guard that person.
