If there is a new APF 2k9...What will APF 2k9 have that Madden 09 lacks?

There's always next year. Until there isn't anyway.

OK, so here's a legitimate question: 2K10? Will we see APF2k10?

I doubt it, cause everything but tis game in next gen sports has been a dissapointment, so why would they make it?

Seems to me that that is precisely why you'd make a 2010 version available in 09.

Agreed. They put a legitimate amount of resource in marketing the first all pro football. With the right moves and added features, they may be able to nail a niche market that is waiting for a non-EA football game.

I think they got a lot of people curious about the game, but they needed more to capitalize on that curiousity to motivate game purchases. Whether that maybe simply more money spent on marketing or simply making the game more enticing. I think there is sales left on the table, and I sure as hell believe these sales hold much more potential then some of the other markets 2k publishers persue.

Don King Boxing was a big fat F! in terms of successfully furfilling a gap in the gaming market. I haven't looked at the sales of that title, but even with a crappy title.. if they market it right they can still make money.

2k learn from EA in where they are successful, because then you can please your core fans with affording the risk of another non-nfl licensed football game. Don't tell me that Blitz and this other strange football title have more potential then you guys to reach the sales cause that is hogwash.

Agreed. If everything else is bad, that's the perfect reason to make 2010.

The only reason I can see to not make it is finances. I don't know how much 2k8 cost versus how much it made ... but with 2k's bottom line being as thin as it is, I'm not sure they can afford the reinvestment without guaranteed increased return.

boxing...table tennis...cmon..2k8 had to pull in more? Hell they still own the "links" golf code and have not released anything. 2k9 has to be on the drawing board? at least I hope it is!

2k needs to give football one more big push. The number of people frustrated with Madden is growing.

One more game, put everything into it, don't quit now, the opportunity is still there, make it so good it can't be ignored, 2k8 was close. A new and improved 2k10 could re-start the franchise, sell it new for 25 dollars, you need to rebuild your 2k fanbase.

Seriously...I love the graphics in APFB2k8; the gameplay is second to none. For me, it's all about replay value. If APFB were to add a franchise mode - even with fictional players, a fictional league, etc. - there's no question I'd be playing this game over and over and over.

I know that's not the first time that that's been mentioned, but a franchise mode would put this game over the top.

I'm all about gameplay too, funny thing is, unlike most people I don't care about franchise. I like quick game, playoffs and maybe the occasional season. I also love the old Bucs orange uniforms, amazing how awful they look in Madden 09.

I like just having great games, I like playing classic teams, I always like to play as Earl Campbell, I did it all the time with classic teams until 2k8 came out, then I got the real Earl.

It's funny that people complain that Earl is too powerful, if you're old enough to remember the real Earl on the Oilers, opposing players and coaches thought the same thing.

It's amazing that everyone who has a copy of Madden don't bother to pick up 2k8 for 10 bucks at Gamestop

Yeah i mean, i enjoy the game a lot. Madden makes it's attempts. But ultimately it's a arcade game. Breaking down defensive schemes in madden takes no intelligence, just have to be quick to find who is open with the many AI flaws to read through.

Most people are going to buy what sells. A lot of people vote for who is thought to win. Some first person shooters are much more better then Halo, but they just don't have the community and marketing to compete.

2K publisher has ALWAYS sucked at marketing. They acted like they're making serial where if they can provide a better product cheaper, people will buy it. Well the cheaper thing kind of spoiled your NFL license. GET A MARKETING TEAM.

There is no reason NBA 2k9 shouldn't be driving this company in revenue like how Call of Duty has for their company and pub.

2k9 with a franchise with or without the retired players would be lights out. 2k8 is the best playing football game out there and if another ever comes out I would easily pay 60.00 for it.

I really think if done right a CFL game could do well..

Caters to the Offensive crowd, but they can improve the defensive AI to make a more balanced game.

Its a real league and If done well will help both Brands out, and have a well done franchise mode with online leagues.
