if it's true that they toned down the user more than the cpu like Sage stated then this patch might be useless to me as going all over again trying to figure out accurate shooting percentages with their "new" "ohh we changed the shooting percentages' then i'll just give up. i was hoping the patch would fix things like more camera angle replays more animations thrown in along with the sets thrown in now for iso etc... but no maybe afew more jerseys maybe afew better shoes but no and better way to edit a face i don't know.. this stuff they did doesn't eally adress anythign i've been able to fix already anyway.

I DO NOT play online so i don't care about these online fixes..but thats me

they do have some new animations when players score but seems like they just jacked up the cpu more now i have to readjust my sliders even more to make the cpu stop taking 3's

sliders are null and void now the set you were using will have to be scrapped and a new set has to be made i wish i would have never accepted that new update this sucks my game was fine till this

They don't need to keep us informed about anything. All 2K learned is that there's a lot of whiny users here and on 2KSports forums that do nothing but biatch, pre and post patch.

What they really should do next year though is wait till the end of October to release the game, as well as involving the resources they have here at operation sports to help them QA their product. I do believe that many here would help them beta test this game, even if it doesn't mean getting the final game for free.

It sounds like they really tried to fix as many issues as possible in the time frame allowed. I give you high props for this!

I just hope they learn next year to keep the community just a "little" more informed about the status of any future patches they release.

The cpu still went inside alot, if you breathe on the lock-on D they throw a lead pass(just testing it to see if they changed it), I still saw a number of alley-oops, and the ghost lay-up was still in full effect. What made it worse was that I missed alot more perimiter shots, three's, and easy inside buckets that the computer just seemed to sink. I wouldn't mind my shooting percentage if the cpu's matched it, but that just was not the case. I turned it off in the 4th and the cpu was still shooting 68%.
My first game on pro cpu shot 68%.

I admit that perimeter defenders will stand closer to the edge of the paint if defensive pressure is set to 'Sag Off,' even though doing this shouldn't be necessary. But even if they're sagging off their man, they still don't react as quick as they should to the drive. All perimeter defenders off the ball should be converging toward their section of the paint as soon as the ballhandler puts the ball on the floor and dashes to the hoop unless they're instructed to stay at home and face-guard their man.

I think what is wrong with NBA 2K9 as far as its help defense system is that the Defensive Pressure setting affects how defender plays his man away from the ball, which it shouldn't. Defensive Pressure should matter only on the ball, not away from it. The Help Defense slider setting should take absolute priority for every defender whenever they're away from the ball.

What would solve this is to have a Help Defense setting for every individual opposing player on a team. Include the standard 'Auto' or 'Help' option for the defender guarding that opposing player to follow basic help defense principles away from the ball. And have a second option like 'Face-Guard' or 'Stay' for certain opponents so to stay at home on him at all times, which would be useful to guarding big-time 3-pt threats. NBA 2K9 unfortunately has all defenders positioned away from the ball on face-guard mode all the time.

                            These impressions are terrible.

Seems like everyone is co-signing with each other, does anyone have an unbiased opinion?
