    Help stopping the screen pass....

I'm crying out to all fellow OS'ers for help stopping the screen pass! If you know the screen is coming what type of defense do you run to stop it. I've tried a bunch of different things with no success, any help would be appreciated
I always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific!

In all seriousness though, DE and LB contain work good, if you really see it coming though, CB blitz...

Any of the Contain plays will work on getting a body near the ball. HOWEVER, you still run the risk of missing a tackle (depending on the quality of player you have over there).

If you are 90% positive you'll be seeing a screen, throw a CB blitz or a blitz to the outsides with your OLBs.

I also find that if you have a player backing up the blitz with a zone coverage in the flats it makes things a lot less risky.

when i think a WR/HB screen is coming i control DE then slant 2 yards on the side of tackle then cut right to WR and just sit there, normally guys are stupid and will throw it to you

in all serious i have over 10 picks with DE on screens this year and about 6 with DTs

If you know for sure its coming run Man defense, and control the defensive end and sprint in front of the receiver he is throwing to. I've even gotten a couple user picks with my D-end doing this.

Re: Help stopping the screen pass....

the only screen that used to give me trouble was the 5wr screen. and now i stop it EVERY time. what i do is when they come out with 5 wrs, i will usually line up in a dollar formation (pretty much all will work you just want to be able to defend the other options as well as the screen) . then i use the "playmaker" ability to tell my DE's to cover the flats (just push A with the DE selected, then I think move the Right Stick to the right) then I take control of the DT and basically use him as a spy. If i see the OL move to the right, then I move my DT over there. You will end up with at least 2 guys in each flat zone.

I used to use this screen pass from the Run N Gun playbook, somebodys gotta know this play.. its call Rollout Screen and its like the most guaranteed TD/big play ive ever seen.
