Big Raiders fan but two things need to happen: Goodbye Al Davis and goodbye Russell!!!! Russell just doesn't have the tools for the position. Yes he's big and has a cannon but he's slow, doesn't read defense well and looks out of place on the field.

Regarding Madden first thing I did was trade Russell for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick.

In real life I think he will be extremely good in a couple years...and this is coming from a Bronco fan

Not too sure about in Madden though.

In Madden he plays well for me, I personally like his strong arm and find the WR's to be a much bigger problem than him.

Although in real life I doubt he'll be too great, at least there is 0% chance while he's with the Raiders, hopefully for his sake he can get out and be successful somewhere else.

yea don't get me wrong, i would never take him over cutler. I'm just saying in the 4 or 5 raider games i have seen, all things considered I have been impressed with some of the tools he shows.

On opening night against Denver, his rating was bad and he missed a lot of passes, but i saw an incredibly strong arm, and his inconsistency's seemed to be because of being young, and i think he will develop into a good quarterback.

Hey, even if Russell was on a good team he would still be a 2nd string backup at best.

I actually like the Raider's WR corps in the game. In reality though, they are awful.

Curry's claim to fame was his hands, snd all of the sudden he's dropping passes left and right this year. Walker was terrible even before he got hurt (I bet Al wishes he let Walker return his signing bonus and retire). Shields is a big question mark, Higgins may have some upside but needs to develop, Schillens is raw and Todd Watkins is marginal at best.

The only possible bright spot I see is Drew Carter. I think he can be effective WR (maybe not a #1 though).

The worst part is that Zach Miller could probably be one of the best TE in the league but we'll never know not only because the WR's suck, but he has to help block 90% of the time because the tackles are garbage.

At this point, I really wish they would've drafted Calvin Johnson and found a free agent QB or even drafted another lower (Trent Edwards etc.)

He sure is a bust in my franchise. I'm in year 7 with titans, and russell (still playing for raiders) has 91TD passes and 98ints with a 2,000-2,500 yard passing average a season.

knowing Al 'Undead' Davis, he'll draft Taylor Mays, that 6'4" safety who can run a sub 4.4

as for Russell and franchise, i find he throws more picks that he would in real life. EA doesn't appreciate that by being able to put so much zip on the ball that defensive backs (who remember play DB as they can't catch the ball), usually don't hang on to any wayward pass. most of J-Russ picks have been either tipped passes or a pass where Russell had a defender all over him and he tried to make a play instead of taking a sack.

ironically having a load of garbage WR's probably means they won't be hanging onto those rocket passes either. maybe Nnamdi at WR

IMO it's the complete opposite. He'll be good in madden because of his physical attributes, but in real life he's going to suck because he's not a goo decision maker or leader.

If I were Oakland, I'd trade Jamarcus for someone's 1st rounder (Minnesota possibly)

Then you'd have two top 20 draft picks in a great draft. I'd go Tayor Mays, then best QB available (Tebow maybe)

c'mon its fairly obvious he's talking madden. no way would any RL team wish to incur insane cap penalties for trading away Russell. on madden you can clear those pesky cap pens.
