the 5 on 5 mode is a perfect example of false advertising, this terrible feature will never be forgotten

Totally agree. That should be shown on the 2k forums and anywhere else so people can see that even tho the patch helped 5v5 lag and camera, it still makes it very difficult to play with 10 ppl! they need to fix it. All the possibilities that feature could of had. Leagues, clans, etc all down the drain.....

Yes, categorical statements are awesome, especially when multiple people are reporting an entirely different experience.

I've played several 5-on-5, 5-on-4, and 4-on-4 games in the past few days that worked very well with minimal lag, no disconnection, and only a few extra attempts to start the game (countdown screen normally).

I have a great time with it. It's not a terrible feature. They have a ton of extra gameplay elements and controls for that mode, and when you get a real game happening with sim people, it's an incredible experience. Try the Player Match lobby if you're having problems, because those work perfectly. Stirring up controversy and making unqualified statements gets us nowhere.

I disagree with pasta. I think that they did fix up the team play. It works fine for me!

what are you talking about the dude just posted a video of what is wrong with this feature the same problems i reported the same problems Padre reported. If you guys been getting clean games and not one single problem you are either BS to protect this game or you have won the golden Game. Now idk if it is entirley different with non ranked team up games but many people dont want to play non ranked

In the video he says that it is impossible to get into a 5 on 5 game without major problems. That's just not true.

i challenge you to get a 5 on 5 popping and post the video of the 4th quarter lag free with all 10 players still connected to the game

it is true. I have yetr to have a 5 on 5 game w/o that 34 second clock popping up at random times or the sometimes lag not saying there is a lot of lag. But when i said that it took me 20-25 to find a good 5 on 5 game it literally took me 20-25 and that game still had that 34 second clock popping up at times.

People drop during the game. That's not 2K's problem -- that's a ridiculous standard to hold it to. People drop for all kinds of reasons and not having a full 5 on 5 by the end of the game is very common in all team play games online.. have you played NHL 09, NHL 2K9, or NBA Live's OTP modes? Same deal there.

I'm not saying there aren't any issues, but I guess I just expect a certain amount of issues with 10 people connecting and playing such a resource-intensive game. The only problem I've had lately is games not being able to start because of that "network conditions are too poor" thing. It happened maybe 5 times and wasted probably 2 minutes of my precious life, but I was able to connect to several other games that ran silky smooth in between those non-starters. Maybe I have more patience for this stuff because the game mode itself is so freakin awesome, but it's a huge improvement from pre-patch because I haven't seen any super-laggy games like before and they generally just won't start now instead of dropping you after a 10 minute lag fest where you played all of 45 seconds gametime.

The lag and connection issues were nearly intolerable at first (I still played the mode though despite the frustration), but it's a world of improvement now.

ive played many 10 vs 10 matches on fifa, whether my team is up big or losing big i've still had games were all 20 players were there from start to finish with no lag at all, how about showing an entire 1st quarter playing lag free with all 10 players then, is that challenge better?

I don't have video equipment, otherwise there's a whole bunch of stuff I'd have put up.

ok we all know it's true that you can get a lag free 10 on 10 game, but the majority of the time, you won't get one. also, there are certain scenarios where the issues are worse. the biggest problem is trying to create an unranked team up match, where you want to play with 4 of your friends against some other people. this is where you get the could not join lobbies message and all of that garbage from the video.

I actually find it easy to get an unranked Team-up game going post-patch. Before the patch, it was hard to do.
