    Trouble Getting Roster To Work

Hey guys I need some help... I got Jason's updated roster but I cant seem to get it to stay when I log back into my profile... I move the roster from the memory card to my hard drive... then I sign in as player 1 and load up the game... Jason's roster loads but when I try to sign into my profile and go back to look at the roster it goes back to my old roster... What am I doing wrong?

It tricky but I figure out how to do it. These step works for me.

          Steps
          1. Delete your Ncaa Basketball 09 profile associated with your Xbox 360 profile from your hard drive (don’t delete Xbox 360 profile).

          2. Sign into the dummy profile player 1 and start the game.

          3. Check to see if the rosters loaded, they should be.

          4. Sign out of dummy profile player 1 and sign into your own profile.

          5. Set your own profile as the activate one, the lead profile.

          6. Right after you set your own profile as lead will ask if you want autosave, I selected no.
Then it will ask you to pick your favorite school. (Since you don’t have Ncaa Basketball 09 profile associated with your Xbox 360 profile it will created one and save it)

          7. Now should be able to save the rosters as your own without the hassle.

how do you know which one to load there are two? One says roster0 and one says roster1.

Sorry loccdogg, they are actually both the same roster (Jason2112s). So either one of them will work. I just was testing, so I loaded 2 of the same rosters on the memory unit. It was actually extremely hard and complicated to figure out how to put the rosters onto the memory card and be associated with the dummy player 1 profile while being able to download them as your own profile. It's a long story. Read my arena blog if you dare want the painful details, lol.

Roster transferring on the 360 is a PAIN IN THE RUMP! I can't get any of them to work period. Geez!

the post a few up from this one with the instructions works. The easiest way to do it is erase any rosters that you have first.

I used that post as my guidance. I have tried loading rosters both ways. One in which there is a default roster already loaded & the other way where I have no other roster file on the MC/HDD. It just isn't working for me. I've spent over $50 on 2 memory cards & the transfer kit. I'm about ready to give up on it & just put all this stuff for sale on eBay! I've never been so frustrated with anything in the gaming scene.

When I was on ps2 I could transfer the saves to MC with my eyes closed. It was a piece of cake but the 360 is just too picky & complicated. I'm just flat out aggravated about this after all I've tried to get these roster saves working.

Did you delete your Ncaa Basketball 09 profile from the hard drive? You have to delete the Ncaa Basketball 09 profile and not just rosters from your own xbox 360 profile before copying any rosters. Then follow the steps.

Yes, I did delete my NCAA profile from the HDD. Here's how I'm doing this. I am transferring the roster file to MC first with Xplorer360. I then copy the roster file to the HDD from MC. What I have noticed from both Xplorer & even from the profile with the download is that the date is showing up as 2005 files. I don't know what that's about!

All my other files that I import into Xplorer shows up as correct dates. Having said that, I can't get any roster files to work with any games. This seems to be more of an issue than the NCAA 09 rosters. I've tried NBA 2K9 rosters & the game always freezes up when trying to load either from MC or HDD.

These EA Sports rosters are even more aggravating due to the dummy profile thing. I'm relatively new to the 360 scene from PS2 so I do have some things to learn. However, I read a lot about rosters & transferring them to the 360. I've been trying to get just ONE roster file to work but can't get any roster for any game to load without problems.

Could I still be doing something wrong? Yes, but I don't have a clue as to what because I've followed tutorial after tutorial with Xplorer & XPort & also how to use the transfer kit. I've spent about $55 for the memory cards & transfer kit & right now feel like I've wasted my money. I was gonna get the XSATA since I do have an HDD but after all this trouble with the transfer kit then I'm afraid to buy anything else.

I also have a PS3 that I play certain games but don't use nearly as much as the 360. I'm a big sports guy & want good rosters like nogster, blazer,& Tomba provide. I can't even use these because of the problems I continue to experience. It's certainly frustrating because I've been trying to get this right for over 3 weeks now.

I even purchased a bigger MC(512MB) & waited on that but my issue still persist. I'm new to the transfer kit stuff but certainly am not new to the gaming scene. It's just the 360 is a totally different process than PS2 roster transfers. I'm not gonna put too much more into this problem because I really have tried everything I know. I just wanna use all these rosters for my games but notta at the moment.

There's your problem. You can't use Xplorer for the rosters I put up for this game. Use the Xchange 360 program instead.
As a side note, this isn't always as hard, but EA in their infinite wisdom made it much more complicated by how they handle profiles, etc. It is not really a 360 problem in this case. I will agree that it is much hard to deal with rosters on the 360 than on the old xbox, ps2 or even PS3 (I have all systems).

XChange software WILL NOT work on my vista machine. I have these problems reported all over these boards & other places as well. I can't get any roster files to work & not just yours. XChange always reports an error of removing & re-inserting the memory card every time. I've tried both the 64MB & 512MB.

While the MC 's show up(not blankened out) in the XChange window they will not work. When I try transfer(hit MC button) I then get the error reported. Xplorer & XPort seems to work OK with my roster files but when taking to the 360 my games freeze up upon loading. The roster files show up from MC/HDD correctly but will not work period. I've been trying to get this working for going on a month now. I'm completely frustrated with the transfer kit.

I had planned on getting XSATA later but why do that when you can't even get the transfer kit to work on this system? I'm now clueless as to what's causing my issues after all this time. Thanks!
