Good article...its an interesting concept but like some of you I've been playing in leagues likes this on the PC for about 12 years now.

Diamond Mind Baseball, ESPN uses it to predict the season every year and Rob Neyer is a pretty big fan of it as well.

On the console I'm not sure im into it....although some features sound fun. Online 30 team fantasy draft for sure would be great with a solid base of OSers.

This one is still on my radar but I'm thinking in the end I'd rather have MLB the Show '09.

This sounds great and I'm interested. The thing that worries me most right now is that the game is a little over one month away and there's very, very little info or hands-on experience out there.

Diamond Mind is pretty poor in predicting anything. It's strictly for replay.

That's marketing. Blue Castle's been working on this for a while. 2K feels that to generate peak interest on release would be to announce it a few weeks before - that's the usual for games that are extremely niche.

I wish a company would make a game like Statis-Pro Baseball by Accolade, which released on the Commodore 64. That game had limited visuals but the stats were ludicrous.

What I look for from a game like this is to be able to have accurate stat tracking and to complete a game within 15-20 minutes.
            What?

I'll keep an eye on this but OOTP 9 still has me playing all ther time. I'm sure if this game compares at all to OOTP in realism then the fact that you can watch the games will still some gamers, but I'm not holding my breath.

The game looks nice, but if they have nice cutscenes and interaction with the GMs and owners/coaches, then that'll be neat.

I am going to be giving this a go no doubt. I am curious to how this is all going to play out. It could be fun. What i think will be a blast is the online play for this. Its not my 1 on 1 skill vs your 1 on 1 skill. Its do i make the right choices for my team behind the scenes!

                        Go DODGERS! lol

As somebody else said, I must have been asleep because this just came at me out of the blue! Will definately be keeping an eye on this one.

By the way, no one commented on the automated online multiplayer.
