calvin johnson's contract is probably too large for any team to offer a trade for him. 99% of players with big contracts can not be traded as no one will want them, so your better off cutting them(if the salary exceeds the penalty). and the lions happen to suck(like my raiders) so not a lot of people will be wanted in trads(I could only trade andrew walter in my first season, after putting everyone on the block)

just a hint, but dont do too much in FA, trading, or cutting players. If a player is slightly overpaid(unlike raiola for example) your better off keeping him than cutting him and taking the penalty. The draft is the best way to build a team
