My favorite spread offense is the run & shoot. Every route is an option route and the receivers don't know what they will run until after the snap and will change their routes on the fly depending on the coverage. In essence it's - go where the defense isn't. When executed correctly the defense is always wrong. It allows an offense to play above it's talent level.

I also like Urban Meyer's spread option ...speed kills.
