Re: MLB 09 The Show Blog - Franchise Mode Enhancements (Playstation Blog)
Okay, with the Amateur draft being in June, don't you think that they had to add Single-A teams and possibly rookie teams. If they didn't, where are you supposed to put the guys that you draft. You are not going to release guys out of your minors to make room for the drafted guys.
Other than that, an overwhelming wealth of depth. I expected a few of these things would be in this year, like 40-Man rosters and waivers, but while I hoped we could get all these things in time; 40-Man, waivers, player options, Rule 5, Arbitration, mid-season draft, never in my wildest dreams did I expect them to all come in one year. At this point, the only thing that I can think of that I really want and hope we see in the future is the ability to add expansion teams and relocate franchises (though I'd be happy with just expansion). Besides improved franchise, AI, of course. That always needs to get better.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: Producer Blog: Franchise 2.0
"When we set out this year’s plan, one of our goals was to blow out the personnel aspects of the Franchise experience. Starting with the beginning of spring training, the rosters you will carry into spring will be those of their real-life counterpart, the long awaited 40-man rosters. Now you will have to manage your Spring Training roster a little more carefully to ensure your young players get the looks they need."
does this mean that we will finally have real minor leaguers in the game. have they finally allowed the real minor leaguers to be in the game with no fake names? this is what it sounds like to me as worded."Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

I remember a thread in another forum that asked the question "How much would you pay for the perfect sports game"
I believe I may have the answer soon enough. Seriously, Rule 5 and compensation picks for FA...unreal.Too Old To Game Club

Last week it was OXM that had the first review for MLB Front Office Manager giving it a 5/10. Now the latest edition of Game Informer includes a review along with a second opinion where it received scores of 3/10 and 5/10.
It looks like 2k has a way to go.Comment

speaking about the minor league players it is true u have to play at least one game in MLB to be legally part of the MLBPA which is why every year thus far u would start to see a few new players on each team in the game little by little.they were qouted saying in another scea forum saying that they have paid close attention to getting every minor league player who has seen action into the game this year.but they are still goin to have fake names as there are too many slots to fill espicially with the new features/drafts.if u have the time to do so go on the site for your favorite team print out there minors rosters with all the bio and edit them to ur remaining "fake" players cuz the announcers do say the last names of the players in the game.(all common names anywayz)Comment

Surprised I haven't seen this brought up, but if 40 man rosters, player options, etc. are going to be in season mode, I wonder if that that mean that minor league teams will be too. And if so, does that mean they will be on the PSP?A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Minor League teams are already included, except for Single A and Rookie league. I don't know about the PSP side of things.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
