Is this sunglass and eye-shade thing some sort of ongoing joke? I hope that's not the most important thing you people took away from this video.

For some people I would say it was. To be honest I did not even see those things in the vids, I was concentrating on the the baseball fundamentals.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Well I don't know how many people read the blog...
But ..(although we knew already).....going the short way for the last out!......AND....
FINALLY!!!!...the fielder going to tag the runner if he's close rather than ignoring him and making the throw.
"The CPU will do this as well. Another side note, the CPU will tag your runner in the baseline if he can, instead of ignoring the runner and throwing to the base. You guys that play our game know what I mean."
NICE!

Re: MLB 09 The Show Blog: New and Improved A.I.
I was so pumped up for last year's game, mainly because I bought a PS3 just for it (and GTA IV - I beat that once and never played it again, but I still play 08 The Show like every single day). But, I can't believe I'm actually more pumped up for this year's game. I find it unbelievable that so many people can gripe about no homerun derby and no freakin world baseball classic. Are you kidding me?? Last year's game was incredible, and look at all the new additions they made for 09! 08 is so addictive that I play at least 1 to 2 games a day (and my wife wants to kill me)... I can't imagine what 09 will do to our marriage.Comment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Blog: New and Improved A.I.
The outfielders and infielders are alot smoother in the animations. Can't wait to see what else has been added for this year. Side markings on the shoes instead of black shoes are alot better this year.
This game is really looking to be well improved since it came out on the PS3.
Can't wait to see what was added in the player editor this year.
Thanks SCEA for listening to all of usComment

Re: MLB 09 The Show Blog: New and Improved A.I.
hey guys....me again...haha. I must say, after seeing that vid showing AI improvements I am officially pumped for this game! Animations looked much smoother than the first 2 vids...swings looked great... I liked the Berkman swing where he sets the bat down....that must be the great work of batting stance guy right there...the lighting makes this game look fantastic...anyway, I could go on and on....great work SCEA!Comment
