    MLB 09 The Show Preview

We have just posted our hands on preview of MLB 09 The Show.

"A lot of The Show’s charm comes from its ability to surprise you even after you have played it for 30 hours. Whether it is a new cut-scene you have never witnessed before or a new fielding animation that suddenly pops up for the first time, those are the moments when many gamers really appreciate The Show as a franchise. And that is why it is kind of tough to size up MLB 09: The Show (and most other baseball games) in preview form.

In real baseball, it is easy enough to figure out who the stars are and why they mean so much to their respective teams. Yet, it is the little things that are done on the field and in the dugout that will ultimately determine which teams are the most successful. In that same way, it is easy enough to realize that the core mechanics of MLB 09: The Show –- hitting, pitching –- are solid overall, but it will take many hours of playing time to decipher whether or not MLB 09: The Show is another game of the year contender."

Re: MLB 09 The Show Preview

Thank you Steve and Chase for a straight forward preview. I am a little concerned about the outfielder reaction that you noticed, but only being able to play what amounted to 2 games, we will learn more about this later.

Hopefully we can get some franchise reports when the community members of Operations Support report back from San Diego.

        Thanks again.

Good preview.....Basiclly theres NO major changes to pitching and batting "which isn't a bad thing IMO" and theres loads of new little things that make it more "authentic"

I can't wait to learn the catcher signs and just watch his hands to see where he wants the pitch when using the T.V. camera views

I'm disappointed that it appears that there still is no true manual fielding.... so once again fielding will be CPU overridden on some plays

Oh well...still way more positives then negatives

so, seems we will have dynamic weather(not talking about rain) too afterall...

              this is great!

Omg, I'm not sure I can handle another month of not playing this game.

                            Great writeup Chase.

I cannot wait to see this game in motion.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
