Looking at EA's playbook calling AI in Madden 08 on the PC it is very hard to understand what "gameplan" the CPU has if any. There really isn't any way to decipher what a team will run against certain teams. It is just a generic down and distance type of chess match....

In the least EA football games CPU play calling is very unsophisticated and not geared for team matchups. player matchups or anything that really matters to a real coach.....
