I know...but as I recall, 2K was on board doing damage control saying not to worry. That's what I meant. Assurances won't mean anything to people who already feel burned and are skeptical. We'll just have to see the finsihed product before we can feel "assured" of anything...one way or another.

Haha, framerate issues STILL?
After last year, you'd think that would have been the FIRST thing they fixed. Just about every sports game has figured out how to achieve 60 fps, yet two years in 2K still can't seem to... Hell, last year they removed half the crowd and couldn't do it, how do they expect to do it with this "living world" idea???
Bad, 2K, bad!!Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K9 Hands-On Preview (Gamespy)
Just so you guys know, optimization is at the tail end of the to-do list. It only makes sense to get everything into the game and THEN do FPS optimization. Showing the game to IGN, Gamespot, et al was a formality of showing off our focus and direction with the game this year. In no way does it represent the final product.
When you pick this game up off the shelves, it will be running 60. Wait a month and you'll see for yourselves.Comment

I also was just about to post that, due to the flood of panicked people in these threads (myself included), VC was going to have to get "ahead" of this story and respond.
You've given me great hope.Comment

Re: Major League Baseball 2K9 Hands-On Preview (Gamespy)
What does "Wait a month and we'll see for ourselves" mean?
Does that mean 2K will have videos out of the gameplay, rid of any framerate issues?
Or does that mean buy it, and once you've bought it and played it you'll see the framerate isn't an issue?
In this economy I hope that the latter isn't the idea.
Can someone please elaborate?Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Yeah, I got a laugh out of it too. Thankfully (atleast in this case) the mods over there are just average Joes and really know nothing about what's actually going on at 2K.
I'm sure we'll be hearing from Gamespot/IGN, etc in the weeks to come about the progress of the game (and hopefully the improved framerate) before it's released. However, it would be nice to get a little more assurance straight from 2K on their forum.Comment
